blowing up an 89+

They say that about VW engines too, about how tough they are.
My 1.8 8v waterlocked while I was driving through a really deep puddle.
I got it started again but there was water in the crankcase. It blew a conrod going down the highway 2 minutes later. It was only 4,000 RPM, not even full throttle. Blew a giant coke can sized hole in the block.

I thought this video was awesome. The rednecks did it in the name of science; now people can see how bulletproof a 13B really is. THe only reason it stopped is they left teh coolant cap off. And it answers the question 'what will happen if i constantly redline my rotary?' for everybody, that way nobody has to try this ever again...

that's just stupid, i've seen piston engines last longer with the coolant cap off while redlining, though they don't rev as high...
it proves nothing except that you can blow up an engine regardless of its origins.

i've taken my stock 12a to well past 8,000 under 16lbs of boost only to do a burnout right after that i imagine it would do just as well in that same scenario. BLACKBABYJESUS'S UNITE!!!

damn.... i really dont know what to say... Though like everyone said, makes me feel better about mine...
I Figgured that the seals wouldnt be able to track the sides of the housings at that speed for long... and also(this has been said amillion times...) HEAT is the Number One Killer Of Your Rotary Engines!!! Im caught between "YOU #%$@ING RETARDS" and glad they did it... Anyone that tells me that rotarys suck and they blow easy, Im showing them that...
As much BS we get about our Apex Seals blowing from Boinger Lovers(Putting on Flame Retardant Suit)... this proves alot, RX7s can be relable DEPENDING on how the are treated... He put that thing through the worst hell you can... and it kept running on one rotor for a good bit...
I DONT CARE WHAT ANYONE THINKS!!! ROTARYS ARE THE ****!!!
