WTF? 2nd gen with a distributor? That's... odd. I thought they all used a CAS.

Also, the rev buzzer was coming on at 5000 RPM. They weren't even into the power band!

Is that a pre-release '7 or something?

E-specs also use valves in the LIM instead of rotating sleeves for the aux ports.

If you guys need hosting I have a few places I can host from..
And why did Mazda feel the need to make so many different variations for different countries? Surely there's no reason that 5/6th port sleeves would be illegal in Europe...

same thing goes for many other cars

look at the S13 180sx 200sx and 240sx HUGE list of differences there

even the newer Celica 180hp in US 250 in Japan and a long list of "little" things to go with it..

diff markets with diff customers with diff priorities.. (costs to maintain costs to run it insure it etc etc)

Dhaark

because they want to think that the 2rotor is equilevant to a v6. cause no way could a little 1300cc engine generate power.

Exactly. They're just trying to compare it to the displacement of a piston engine.

Yes, This is because no piston engine can compare to the horsepower per cube of the rotary, naturally aspirated on both counts. Just trying to keep the porsche owners feeling big after dropping big bucks to buy a car that can be beaten by a car almost $3k less

um... no, 13b = 1.3 liters

however, if you are comparing combustion displacement per revolution, a 13 b is still 1.3 liters. It just means that every other piston engine in the world is only using half of it's displacement per revolution.

some more clarification:

anstandard 4 stroke will only actually combust it's full displacement in 2 revolutions, where a rotary will cumbust its full displacement in 1. This is why people like to relate a rotary to a 2.6 liter. But I like to think of it the other way around. 13b is 1.3 liters, every piston engine is just half.

kinda like the "I'm not wierd, you all are wierd!" concept.
