leaner idle = flooding cured?
So i leaned my idle out to mid 12's afr (stock was low 11's), and ive noticed it doesnt ever flood. ive moved it around the driveway several times over the past few months, turning it off without letting it warm up, and it starts back up every time.
I cant do that with my n/a, it will flood about every 1/3 tries if it is not warmed up (and im talking hardcore flooding, like having to remove spark plugs, etc flooding). I suppose it could be just that the tii has better compression than the n/a (150k+ miles on original engine). But could it be possible that leaner idle cures flooding problems, or is the flooding caused by something else?

Rotaries like a bit more fuel at idle then pistons (stoich 14.7) they start missing quite a bit that lean at idle cruising is OK that lean. Try leaning out to around 13.0.
