Check out my mods in my sig on this thread. https://www.rx7club.com/rtek-forum-168/timing-maps-582746/
I have a BNR T04b and my setup is similar to what you posted only more fuel, timing control, and wideband.

1. You will need more fuel than you posted in your plans. You will likely need a setup like mine to reach your HP goals. Also I would HIGHLY recomend water/alcahol injection, you are in CA like me (shitty 91 octane).

2. Forget the SAFC you dont need it just upgrade to the 2.0 and will be able to control fuel and timing. If you don't tune your Timing you WILL blow up your motor running 300HP on stock timing maps. It's not quite as easy as turn up the boost and fuel and presto 350HP.

3. You need a wideband O2 to monitor AFR's.

Good luck and have fun tuning.
Ed

I thought the rtek 1.x would retard the timing 1 degree for every psi above 9....

It does, however the timing map is too aggressive below 9 PSI as well.
If you are running any setup other than a stock turbo with moderate mods I would suggest retarding the timing map all the way down to 2-3PSI where you blend it to the stock map for driveability.

not to be a jackass...but you will run lean under boost unless you hook up the safc and richen up the fuel map between 2500-redline. i know this because im currently working on a guys 88 t2 withthe exact setup your about to have but he as the old school hks or trust front mount . im not sure what the fd pump is (liters per hour?) if its not atleast 230lph get a 255 walboro. but i would recomend upgrading to the rtek 2.0 or wait til 2.1 comes out, but if you like the driveability of your car now dont put that turbo on yet. you will blow your motor if you try to boost without monitoring with a wideband 02 or atleast have a fuel management.

if you wanna keep in touch with me as i try to make this guys setup work then pm sometime, im waiting on the walboro 255lph to come in and i have the rtek 2.0 in my 87turbo so i can use it on his car and my wideband will be here today.

please take this seriously so you dont jump the gun and damage your motor

No problem, bro. Go ahead and install the turbo just stay out of boost.

according to that fuel calc, your injectors will reliably support up to about 315hp (~270 hp at the wheels). the bnr stg2 may make more than that at the wheels at only wastegate spring boost.

also, keep in mind, just because you have rtek 1.7 or 1.8 ecu, they do not really support aftermarket turbos. if you think about it, all they do is keep the stock fuel maps by compensating for bigger injectors. even if you have 720cc secondaries, what good are they if the ecu is still using the stock map? no more fuel is getting to your engine than the stock 550s

you really need the 2.0 or some type of fuel control if you are going to run that turbo, and you really need bigger injectors too. at least 1000cc to be safe

You should be fine with the setup for now. I would just run stock boost pressures until you can get a wideband or get on a dyno and a way to adjust your fuel trim.

For a year I ran on a Rtek 1.5, 720's, HKS AFR, walbro, FPR without any problems.
