rotaryshack buyer feedback thread post what you bought and how you like it!

Robert is usually a good guy. But I don't know what happened to him in my last purchase. I ordered an engine and transmission from him and I have not received it yet (over a month ago). Now, I think he is not returning my calls.. i will admit that I have been calling him alot, only because he has my money and I have no drivetrain. when last I spoke to him he was to drop the paperwork so I can arange for the shipping....he has not done so yet. This has been going on for a month. I do not want to stain his repruation, because I have found Robert to be very helpful and knowledgable. Also, up until now, I have found him to be a good guy. .....but I am not sure how to proceed.....getting my stuff.....Robert if you read this please call me.
Thanks,
Ryad.

Don't want to sound like an idiot, but has anyone ever filed legal action against Robert for not delivering products? I have not heard from him for 2 weeks and when I did before that, all I heard was next week (since July). I really don't want to do that but I need to do something, either to get my engine, tranny, fuel pump and coils or my money back. i must say that I am disappointed in Robert. I hope I am wrong but I doubt it.

Well, I didnt received anything in the mail from Robert. Instead, I took the entire exhaust from his parts car to make my other FB smog legal.
Im still wondering if I should get paid for cleaning his parking area.

I really hate to do this because he seems like a nice guy, but dam. My part who knows where it is, I did not even get a tracking number. I would think in this line of business a tracking number of some sort is mandatory, for the piece of mind of the customer and seller. I'm very disappointed about this. I only deal with people who I read about on this forum as being really great. I read the postings, all good postings with some problems, but we are all human and because of that we cannot be perfect. But really, it’s been a bit overdue.
I bought a bike in San Francisco and it took one and a half weeks to get here UPS Ground. Tomorrow it will be three weeks for this intake.
Where is this elusive intake, it’s in the mail since Sept. 22.
Here is the run down...
Sep 20 - Payment sent via pay pal
Sep 26 - Sent email asking for tracking number and a PM the next day just in-case
Sep 27 - to Oct 1 Waited patiently for a reply
Oct 02 - Called him, he picked up saying he never got the email or PM and the package was sent USPS with no tracking info.
Oct 02 - Sent him proof via email that I emailed him he said "oh, i didnt get it, i did now... lol.. you will have your new manifold this week, dont worry.. thanks"
Oct 03 - He sent me a PM "call, or pm me when you get the intake.. thanks"
I waited till the end of the week and nothing.
Oct 06 - I called and left a message - no response
Oct 10 - I called and left a message - no response
Oct 11 - This posting

Mr. Robert from Rotary Shack got my bucket RX-2 running like a champ with no problems. Couple years later, the RX-2 still starts right up, doesnt over heat, and still keeps on smile on my face when 5psi boost kicks in...! Robert is a good guy overall. The rest of you complaining, Take a chill pill...! There are are customer cars he's working on. Unless you have a substantial amount of cheese on hand, Be patient and let the man work his Rotary Magic...!

I finally recieved a tracking number on Oct. 12. He apologized and said the he gets busy sometimes. He is not a bad guy, but communication needs work.
I haggled on the price and he was firm. I payed immediatly, all I wanted was the same immediate response with a tracking number so I didn't have to bother him.

He gave me a great deal on the engine I recently bought from him. He sent pictures before shipping, kept me updated on the status of the shipment (it was shipped from Cali to Georgia and arrived exactly when he said it would), and the engine looks and runs great. My mechanic, whose shop I had the engine shipped to, called me as soon as it arrived to tell me how unbeliveably CLEAN and complete it was. It was just as Robert had described it. He was straight up and honest with me throughout the whole process and called almost everyday until it was delivered. He's a stand up guy, and I look forward to doing more business with him in the future.
Thanks!
Thanks!
