What's a good Oil Cooler for a Drag Car/Weekend Driver ?

I've got a TII oil cooler now, but it's just too long for my liking.

Seriously though, I could probably manage a square oil cooler like the one below. Would that be good enough ?

Car will be running off ethanol, so engine temps will hopefully be cooler than a gas motor.

14.75 x 9.25 x 2.5 - 1.6 qts

If you plan on running the car for more than 10 mins then an oil cooler is necessary. It has nothing to do with the fuel you use.
Any type of street driving done an oil cooler is neccessay.
The one in the pic should surfice depending on your driving habbits.
BTW. Real drag cars don't use oil coolers!

I'm no drag racer, just a poser

My street driving is pretty lame.

I know several guys who run alcohol and don't run coolant because it runs so cool. I thought the same would somewhat apply to ethanol and oil temp.

A rotary is a different beast. The oil is responsible for much more cooling than in a piston engine. Also rotaries run hotter than piston motors and are more sensitive to overheating.

Is there a reason for this besides simplicity and weight savings?

Let me guess: Just one more thing to break or leak. And criss said more than ten mins. So the oil will get to temp faster with out a cooler and if it takes more than 10 mins, well your just too damn slow to race!

Alright, I did some measuring. I seems I can only fit a oil cooler that's roughly 12 inches wide, without it looking retarded.

So, I found the following:

Would this be okay ?

Core Height: 9"
Core Thickness:2"
Inlet Size: AN Size 8
Outlet Size:AN Size 8
End to End" Length:13"
