turbo II rear drag race upgrade???
Hi Guy! Maybe you'll be able to help me. I have a 87 FC with an ls1 m6 turboII rear upgrade. The rear has 410 gears. My problem is that the rear feels like its all over the place when I let the car loose at full throttle. It gets scary at a launch or even a 60 mph. I've checked the rear end and its tight and nothing is loose. Do they make better bushing for the rear like poly urethane bushing or even spherical ones. Any info I would be grateful. Thanks! Ariel

A couple places make spherical bearings for the rear swing arms, MMR-Direct and AWR, iirc. Although that might not fix your problem. You might have to be a bit more specific about the symptoms you're having. The rear suspension on the FC has some rather different geometry and changes camber and toe differently than most cars when the rear end squats. Also, the rear steering bushings in the rear uprights allow for toe changes in hard cornering. The bushings are called DTSS and several companies sell elimination kits for it. Hope that helps.
