SoCal IDRC event!
Ok SoCal guys, we finally have an event coming for us. Sat June 13 at California speedway drag in Fontana. I'm going to be running my car and have a few other friends getting their cars ready too. So all you rotary guys, lets get out there and represent, no excuses, get out there and race and have some fun. Who's in?

Manny, any way you can haul your car back to this event?

Working hard trying to get the car back together
Thanks for the words of encouragement. I have been sitting on the sidelines for the past couple of years so I am very eager to get the car back together. I just picked up all my safety equipment from Deist around the corner from my house.

Right on Robert. Looks like we have a few all motor cars coming together. Hopefully we can give the Honda's a good run for the money. When do you think you'll have your car up and running?

I won't be ready ,no time available . the car ran 5.72 @107 sleeping last time out at the 1/8,but to much boost is getting inside the crack case and blows oil out the motor , internals maybe bad .

Well, I'm still waiting on some fuel plumbing parts to arrive. THey should be here on Monday/Tuesday. I should have the car ready to run by Wednesday/thursday, so I should be good to go. I had to burn some vacation so I have all next week off. I talked to Rene and Albert. Both said they are trying their best to get their cars done for this event, so hopefully that will be two more. I'm very excited to finally see what my car will do in the 1/4 mile. One week and counting.

Alright Steve, that's awesome! See you there. I don't know why I'm getting all excited because that's going to one more car that's going to kick my ***. Oh well, it's all about having fun right? Maybe I'll get lucky and someone will break.
Crap! I just read the IDRC classes and I just removed my stock fuel tank and put a fuel cell in. But they don't allow fuel cells in the pro-am all motor class. I could have run in the pro-am all motor class since I have all glass windows and stock dash board. Oh well, I'll just have to get whipped in the All-motor class. I hate bracket racing.

Hey I just noticed in the all motor class they don't allow anitfreeze/coolant in the cooling system. So are you allowed to use water wetter or some other kind of attitive so that the aluminum doesn't corrode. What are you guys using?

Hey those tech guys at California Speedway are really picky. It's better to be safe then sorry, but like you mentioned I doubt they would check the coolant. Also, I noticed that the rules say any faster than 11.99 and you can't use the OEM flywheel. How the heck could they even check that and most wouldn't even know what a stock Mazda rotary flywheel looks like.

they wont check the flywheel either. but you wull need a fire jacket, helmet and a 6 point cage if you go 11.99 or quicker.. i dont think you need to worry about going that fast yet tho....
