so... went to the track on friday
this past friday a few local guys had a track rental at island. i drove the car there on the same tired streetport (with dead RA Super seals).
i was ecpecting more 13 second passes from the car as i still have been unable to get the car to go straight even on the street on low boost.
i pull to the line for my first pass and put the car on the 2 step, 8-10 psi and i slip the clutch. my first reaction was "wow, the car didn't bog" as i'm thinking this, i hit the rev limiter. i yell a few profanities and granny shift to second. when i get into second i think to myself, "wow, the car seems to be going straight i wonder if that boost problem has come back?" as i'm thinking that i hit the rev limiter AGAIN in second. **** so i now granny shift to third and decide to look at the boost gauge assuming im only getting like 18 psi because the car is so easy to keep straight. before i could read the gauge, you guessed it rev limiter again! I finally powershift the car into fourth and begin to think "wholy **** the damn car is working!" i hold the pedal to the floor in fourth and cringe as i hit and stayed on the rev limiter for the last 200 feet before the traps. (4.44 rear gears are waaay to tall for this combo)
long story short i felt like i ran a 12.80 pass but am happy that the car went straight imagine my supprise when i get my timeslip and see 11.49 at 127mph!
honestly that was the worst 11 seconds of driving in history. i immediately get excited because i KNOW that I'm finally gonna run a 10 second pass that day. all i need to do is prepare myself for the run and drive the car right. (the first run i was seriously not even thinking about driving because i expected the car to run poorly and abort the run)
after a lil cool down i pull to the line ready to run a 10.80 or something and my stupid *** changes plans partway through the burnout! after the burnout i decide to just dump the clutch instead of slipping. well the result was a broken diff 100 miles from home with no trailer.
just wanted to share with you guys. pics and vids shortly.
yall want to know the funny thing about all of this? the guy that fixed my problem was AnthonyNYC when he lent me his skinnys for the day. i've spent close to $1000 trying to figure why my car wont go straight and once i bolted those skinnys on the front all was cured.
special thanks to my crew chief Marly, tuner enzo, Navin and all the guys that helped out during the day.
new (stock) diff goes in on wednesday 10's before the weekend bitches!!

Good stuff Roan, congrats! You were right when you said it was one of the worst 11sec passes, I thought it was a 13sec pass. The next pass would have surely been a mid 10sec pass. Next time at the track you are going mid 10s easily.
Congrats again!

Roan,
Here's the video...

From the looks of it you might have still kept accelerating even after the time was displayed.
