Oh, but anyway I'm one of the guys from 3tc.com that thought of this crazy match race to begin with. I had originally planned on racing the Celica guys, but they're a bunch of no nothing bench racers who bark louder then they bite. I think at least you Rotor heads have the pride and knowledge to build something that might be able to compete with a 3TC. So what do you all say. A little Piston vs Rotor action here on the west coast?? The car we are building will be coming out of Las Vegas and if you guys commit to this I will try and contact Nate and see about a race in either Vegas or Fontana. They haven't come to the west coast yet so that might be a good bartering chip for the race. Also a couple old school 10 second RWD imports might be a sight to see too.
All you guys need to do is commit and we're in on our side. Also we have a clean titled car to put up for th race. I'll check the thread to see the response and that's about it.

Sent the guys at 3TC an email...
I'd definately be in for donating some bucks for the project. I wish I still had my FC... Perfect rolling shell.
Hi,
I'm just another member from www.rx7club.com
A few members have posted that you guys at 3TC were planning on building a car to race on the TV show Pinks and were "challenging" another forum to build a car.
We have heard your challenge and in the process of formulating a plan.
You can view one of the discussions here:
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=646252&page=1&pp=15
We're trying to boost some moral, so if some of your moderators or admins can stop by and tell a little about your site, your plans for the car (budget, etc) not too much, have to keep it competitive ;-) that would be great.
How far along are you guys in planning?
Anywho, please stop by and introduce yourselves and let's see if we can get something started!

spending too much money..

I'd be down with contributing a little cash for the rex. I think it should be a first gen gutted and made light as ****. ford 9" with the proper gearing (5.12 maybe?) Needs one of those garrett gt45s for $750. Think it should be a 1.32 backside with a semi pport or maybe just bridge so that we don't have to do anything crazy with the intake. We could do this as long as someone could contribute the fab work and we could get some of these rx7club members to take the locks off there pockets and donate just something (little money or parts). Would be fun as all hell!
