Nice. I'm sure you will clean up the hotly contested station wagon class

Thumbs up Back On Track

Dee,

Man that looks great. Last year at the Pomona finals we actually spoke to you about this project car, and you made it happen in a very short amount of time.

Congratulations to you and your team!!!!!!!!

Good Luck

Thanks again Cris and Ernie!!! To me it felt like it took forever to get going but i guess looking back it was to be expected.

Cris i like the name Dragon Wagon but the best i heard so far is what they are calling it in PR. "La Wawita" Those of you that speak spanish you can correct my spelling.

We are in the works now of planning a trip to PR with some of the top NHRA guys. I am so excited this thing is running it feels less like work and more like fun now!!!!

The FD was sold to gentlemen in florida and he is currently racing the car. There are plans to also get back into a rotary vehicle soon possibly an RX8 with a 3 rotor, we will see.

Congrats Dee, you deserve it!

The real word in spanish is "Guaguita" (diminutive for Guagua); however in our puertorican ebonics(?) we pronunce it (and end up writing it too) as "Wawita".

So Guaguita means "Small Hatchback"

It'll be GREAT if you can fly to PR, and race out there; its a totally different scene

My understanding is that "Rolo" from Central Florida Turbo is the new owner; the FD now has a name "Lucimar", and its best time under the new owner is 7.5.

I like "La Wawita" maybe it is time to just let the name stick and use it

The owner of the FD's name is Javier, he is a very nice man who enjoys racing and the car. Rolo is a crew member / crew chief for the car but the owner is Javier.

I was blessed to drive it one last time in florida when we went down for the event. It is in good hands and i am happy the it is being well taken care of.

We are scheduled to be in PR the month of Jan as the details unfold i will let everyone know.

No problem!!! There current plan iss to have Tito build a longer wheelbase car for his brother and law and the gentleman that did my fiberglass work Pito or also known as Pimar.

His current car is a starlet that was just completed and ran a 7.47 at the mech tech cup.

He is currently considering selling that car and building an RX8. If he does i will supply the RX8 body and the 3 rotor engine turbo ecu etc etc tito will supply the chassis and i will transport that car to the races in my rig and run a two car team.

Alot of things will have to fall in place for this to happen but if it does i will def share the info with the forum as it happens.

I am not done yet

Awesome runs with your "guaguita". Like my partner said earlier I believe you really will enjoy racing in Puerto Rico. Good luck.
