Just wondering if any of you have found a shock from a different vehicle that will fit an 86 rx-7?
I.E. 85 300zx shocks etc....
I'm looking ot buy some aftermarket drag suspension and I don't want to make custom mounts.

bro just remove the front stabilizer/sway bar and make front wheel limiters with overhead garage door wire...You will save money and do almost the same thing.

Now when you are jacking up the car watch the front tires as you are lifting it.
Stop when the front suspension is at its highest travel BUT the wheels are still straight.
you can put level on the side of front tires and make sure they are still vertical.
Then find a a bolt or tab that you can run wire through on the lower control arms and then afix the wire somewhere on one of the strughts towers bolts. You may have to drill for this. You can pick up good wire and the crimps from your local hardware store for less than $5... this should help your 60ft and keep your car straight while you power shift.
I have seen many cars with homemade suspension work running 1.25-130 60ft times....

Also I'm thinking of going back to factory (softer) struts. I have AGX 4 way adjustables up front and 8 way in the rear. Both set to the softest settings. Not even sure the car hits full suspension travel the struts are so stiff.
Also contacted a spring company local here. I was told to lower my spring pressure to 150lbs. They wrote me this back...I'm not sure what to tell them. Think U could help out? I'd be changing the spring rate right?
Please clarify "I need them rescaled to 150lb springs."
Yes we can modify the Load AT Load height setting on coil springs.
The three critical factors are Load @ Load Height and Rate.
Each are addressed separately as far as how you want to spring to perform and collectively in the engineering design process.
If you want to send your spring up. We will calibrate the spring and I will contract you with the data.
You will have to pay UPS up and back.
No charge for the calibration work.

Worth a shot. I'm running a built auto so powershifting isn't an issue. Usually around 1.6x 60" running 10.7x's @ 128ish... I know I'm losing alot in the 60's. Also running grannysspeedshop solid rearend. This thing.

go back to your stock front & rear struts and make a few passes...you are going to be surprised. ....Diatre.....10.7 with a 1.6..60ft!!!! if you get to say a 1.35-.140 60ftyou should be in the high 9"s... with your current setup..

Car is 2850 race weight (me in it). If I leave at anything more than 6lbs of boost I just spin... If I use the T-brake it spins more than a foot brake launch...
What tires sizes and pressures are you all running on the FC's to get such BA 60' times?
I can go back to the stockers. U think I should go with the stockers on the rear as well? Or just the front?
I was thinking of adding weight to the back my motors about 240 or so lbs heavier than the rotary...
THANKS!
