Nitrous, somthing a little different

i thought i would shoot this in here, because if anyone help me with the gas it will be the drag boys

re-doing my setup at the moment, large frame borgwarner, 13b big bridgeport and exhaust ports opened right up too. and every to go along with it. car will be e85 this time, methanol is melting my brain and not ideal for the street

because the car will be auto with a high stall converter. were wanting to get up on boost alot faster than 5 to 6 seconds on the trans brake.

i have used systems in the past on PISTON setups that are a simple 75-100hp shot, single nozzle around the throttle body.

the gas is only activated at say 6psi through to 20psi at 2,000 rpm to 5000rpm. outside these points its no gas.

the whole purpose is so get your big turbo spooled right up really fast. and it does a shitload for such a small shot. your basically at peak peak HP/tg 1500-2000rpm sooner. so when you load it on on the transbrake, about 1-2seconds and your at full boost and ready to fly

so after this backround info on what i want. can i make it work on a Bridgeport?
it will be a dry shot controlled by the ecu for fuel and ignition adjustments.
port overlap at low rpms concerns me that there is potential to have a massive nitrous backfire and blow myself up. my tuner knows his **** and says no problem although has only employed this on piston setups. however he is big into the rotors just not like this.

i dont want to send a real good block to heaven. if its risky i just want to know what i should be looking for.

if anyone has been through this before any help would be appreciated

With turbo technology and two steps these days, I don't think anyone is using NOS to spool the turbo's up anymore, at least not very many.

i agree with you right there, but you cant exactly use a two step with an auto.

i know people may think auto yeah soft. but were shooting for around 900fwhp and there's not many streetable options short of a fully built manualised auto

if i threw a liberty or g force in, the options are pretty **** streetability wise. with an auto i can jump in cruise to a race and back home again

so im hoping somebody can help me who has been there before. not looking to use gas for peak power, only spool up. my only real concern is with low rpm and port overlap causing and issue for me. if its been done it will be helpful(for the wallet) to know what not to do

and besides its cool to be smashing 25psi by 4500 rpm and frying the tyres

I was recently shown the use of a automatic transbrake on my mates 3speed twin cam RB30DET drag car. Car has full custom 9" and built 3 speed auto with B&M ratchet and button on top.

Anyway he showed me on the side of the road building 15psi on the brake. Sounded ******* mental. Gate was opening up and he wasn't even moving.
