Just got back home from the event a few hours ago. It was a freakin awesome event. The crowd was going crazy when the PR cars took out Paul Efantis (solara) and Justin Humphreys (lexus).
It was PR against PR in the final and Pica took the win. All the other classes were pretty boring but the modified class was exciting to watch.
I wonder if all the PR cars are heading to the last NHRA event!

Anyone know what's the deal with NHRA re-inspecting/teching all the cars from PR?
Supposedly there was a rumor going around about two certain racers being cry babies in the modified class but that was quickly shot down being that the NHRA said that the reason was for something to do with the rules for next year.
Anyhow huge congratulations to the Pica crew with another win in the Modified class. Actually it was an all PR finals.
Pica vs Jaimy Lee--->
Pica 7.49@180---win
Jaimy Lee 7.68@175.

my friend Milton who now owns La Kabuski works at a shop in VA that painted justin's GS300 and i herd that lastweek justin was talking alot of **** about the PR cars, like they gonna break first run out & he has a multi-million dollar team and the PR cars are low tech... Milton told me that he cant wait to **** up justin whenever he sees him, he going to tell him that a $40k 1.3L short WB starlet smoked his *** good and he did it with a distributor lol..
i think that next year the rules might be a little hard on the rotary racers, i guess we'll have to wait and see

I think the classes are even, since there spending Hundreds of THousands of dollars on pistons and couple thousands on rotarys, i think thats even lol =)
Lil rotarys eating em all up. ITs a beautiful thing.
We need to have one of our rotary guys infiltrate NHRA and turn the tables for the rotarys =)

Hmm, Sorry but you better get your facts straight. This is Justin. You should call your buddy and ask him the last time that I talked to him. I wasn't at Barneys last week. 2 I have never talked down any of the guys from PR, and you can ask any of them. I am the first to help them out and let them use tools or give them parts when they need them. Those guys also have some of the nicest and definetly the cleanest cars at the track. I have also sold motors to a friend that match races in PR, as well as other parts to some of the rotary guys from PR. I am glad that they came out racing with us, and they came out ready. Those guys are great racers, and have definetly made a statement. Last weekend was the best racing that we have ever had in the Modified class. A little over a .14 between the whole field. The thing with the tech saturday night was not due to anyones complaining, especially me or Paul, but was all NHRA. Don't forget that us and Paul are the only 2 cars in the class with restrictions. We have been running 52mm turbos, and now 54's. Paul was still running 52's last weekend and ran strong. Oh, and don't forget that we both weigh 2850lbs. The rules must be pretty close right now, as we have 2 rotars running 30's and 40's, and us 6cyl running the same. So, maybe you should talk to those guys and see what they say.
Last thing. I have never said that we have multi-million dollars teams. We don't have one money sponsor, but have plenty of roduct sponsors that help us tons. So don't go putting words out there that never came out of my mouth.
Oh yeah, Paul didn't run out scared, he ran out happy that I lost. LOL
Thanks.

there should be NO! I repeat NO penalties for next year for rotaries
we was off our game but thanks to improvements in Apex seals, EFI and turbo technology
rotaries and not only (when tunned by a "rotary" pro) more reliable but also are making more power....
Justin car trapped 187! MPH that car was the potential to run 7.2-7.1 with that trap
NHRA needs to decide if they want a 2 car 2jz race
or have the cars the packs the stands and bring the most excitement to the paying fans..

Kabooski is correct!
They practically killed all the other classes.
NHRA have to understand that you cannot change 'GRASSROOT IMPORT DRAG RACING'.
It's been like that from the begginning.
They way I see it---> 4cyl and 2- rotors one class.
---> 6cy and 3-rotors next class.
There is no way to even the competition among both without restrictions. Restrictions often lead to innovations but most of the times it leads to arguements and class breakdown because of the lack of support from racers.
The most important fact it always boil down to is-->WHAT THE CROWD WANTS TOO SEE GOING DOWN THE TRACK. They are the ones paying the entrance fee and supporting the race. Without them sponsors would not contribute.

Justin lets lay the BS and rumors to rest right here ,right now....how much power is the 2J making (no lie), how much $$ would it take to build a similar program as urs? (car,parts,trailer,ect)...last question is, approximately howmuch does it cost to race a full season of NHRA alone, forget nopi?

The racers are doing what they are supposed to do as racers. It's called competition. It's not only about making the power and running the times. In every class of racing you can't stop that. That's the nature of racing. No one in any form of performance is going to hand you out that on a silver platter. All those guys learnt what they did the hard way. There are always leaders in every form of motorsports.
The only way to learn is through participation. Staying home and playing on the internet is not going to teach you anything. Leave that to the bench racers.
You'll be also surprise how much information is shared among all the racers in the rotary community.
Here's a little hint. I'm going to quote a famous racer now------>
''EVERYTHING WE RUN ON OUR CAR UPS CAN DELIVER IT TO YOUR HOUSE TOO''
