One of the reasons i took the blower of the t11 project, and it only pushed 25 lbs.

I am sure that was just the burst plate but still, the idea of that happening in front of me is not appealing.

The bearings were going out of my blower and the lobes started hittin togeather i decided to give it up! I was only driveing it 2 to 1 turning it 18,000.00 rpms! Plus i was feeding it 800 h/p methanol on a mechanical pump and jets no fire hazard there.

Then i got the 3rd gen and its more fun on the street!

PHew! I thought you already blew up your new motor silly. Thanks for scaring me. Oh wait, what was I thinking. You're still dicking around and it's not finished yet. LOL!

yeah well that vid was the burst panel blowing out.that 8/71 style blower likes fuel being put through the hat to keep it cool.in the early days thats how most of the fuel was run from the top.unfortunatley when you reved it there would be a hick up as fuel couldnt get to motor as fast as the air could.usually these hick ups would blow the burst panel out.paul has a heap of old burst panels here on a big peice of wire.man there are heaps of the things.later on paul put the fuel in the runners and it stopped blowing the burst plate.it had a couple of nasty back fires and put some mean dents in the rotors.one blower backfire actually sheared the twin keyways off the crank at the front where the blower belt goes on.this was fixed by splining a new crank and making a splined hub to suit.eventually a psi b series supercharger went on the motor with that big billet manifold i was using on my car.this recorded its best time off the trailer with a high 8.it ran 3 lazy passes that day before being banned for excessive noise.it had a nitro barrel valve on it and was putting way to much fuel into the motor, there were flames as high as the roof coming out the header pipes.it was recorded at 127 dbs or something(similar to nitro funnycar).paul would have continued on with it and found a way around the noise problems but they limited the diameter of the blower to 7 inches.this now meant he had no class to run the car in with the psi supercharger.unless he ran it in super street.the turn around time required on a blown car is not possible to realistically run in super street.sad to say the car got retired.the engine became for sale and i was a big fan of paul.at the time i had just purchased my new body panels from mazda for my drag car.i thought about buying pauls engine...and then did it!.paul never wanted to let go of it really and when he worked out i was serious about it he wanted me to join him and race with him.since then weve been building my car and have raced his car a couple of times with the blown v8.i love the blown v8 it sounds mean!.this season he wont have the new v8 ready yet so we both have put in a 13b pp twin turbo combo into it.it will be mechanical injection and run a 2 speed auto.it aint going to set any world records or anything but will be fun and im really keen to hear the sound of the peripheral ported rotary.im sure we will learn some things from it too ready for my car next season.....

Grasshopper whats this nonsense you talking about!!!!! You not allow to use the word "blow" unless it's a female you're talking about... Now go take some timeout and sit in the corner!!

BTW, what's with this "timeout" bullshit!!! The only "timeout" I knew about was running from my father and he would take "time out" to catch his breath before wipping my *** with a pot spoon
Ask Crispeed if he remember the "dobble-la" or the Guava branch

What do you mean me? Allen's the one who started the "blow the rotary thread", not me.

Yeah and you're right with the timeout crap. That **** doesn't work, what a crock. My parents beat me with a horse riding crop and look how good I turned out.

Back to the blowers- blowers on rotaries are like skinny jeans on fat girls- just doesn't work. LOL

Same boat as alot of guys on here..... Cut unnecessary spending
When you grow some hair on that bolas of yours and you get some responsibilities then you will finally know what's priority and whats not

On a more serious note... Allen and I was chatting a few moments ago and even he agrees that the money is not coming in like it use to... Lets see what happens when our next president comes into power, maybe I'll be force to drive a Prius or maybe I'll finish one car for next season...

Scary moment indeed brother..... Well look on the bright side, if Obama wins we will be screwed instantly & if Mccain wins then we will go to war with Iran and be screwed a short while after
So the bright side is we will be screwed any way you look at it

Thats what you get for messing with those Texans. Next time ask him to use more lube, and make sure you keep doing your stretching exercises.

As for the money situation i am in the same boat as you. I got a new truck, a new house, a 6 month old baby, and the company i work for laid off 82 people last month. I know where your coming from.

LOL, yeah it really sucks right now and it doesn't look good in the near future either. Only the rich are playing these days, like all those PR's with the 7 second cars.
