I plan on attending the shootout but i'm also worried about smoking my stock LSD. I may not be putting down 500rwhp (400rwhp only) but getting stuck at the track sucks. Did you baby the clutch as well? I have a feeling that or the LSD is next to go. the act clutches will not hold that amount of power, despite what they say. it might hold for a few hard launches, and then what? you'll have to replace them again. i wore out my act s/s on my bone stock fd w/ just a few hard launches, so that gives you an idea of how accurate they're torque figures are. the fact is if you want the clutch to hold for more than a couple passes you'll need a twin plate. on top of the abuse they can take, the pedal effort is easier than a puck type clutch.

twin plates cost ALOT $2000 . i have seen quite a few cars with ACT puck clutches. none of them have failed. i agree the S/S will fail but it will take alot to kill a 6 puck
