Well, I wouldn´t say knowledge. Rather comprehension of everything what I readed in the past 7 years and some common sense.
In this case, I simply didn´t buy talk about twisting and flexing etc. Just think about it, very high pressure acting over large housing surface. Pressure over area equals force which is acting through the dowel pins and eventually breaks dowel land. Nothing more, nothing less.
Why it happens even on low powered engine is again simple, too advanced timing itself creates higher peak pressures and/or detonation, which lifts apex seals from housing surface with consequent hot gas leakage to following chamber creating even worse detonation or preignition. Concept is simple, many people just overthink it.
Sorry for my hijack

that will never happen, low production parts made from billet are extremely costly for many reasons and should never go down in price but go up when people see the benefits from these custom made parts. this kind of stupid post reminds me of how many stupid people there are in this world!

Simple economics Einstein. I guess you would nothing about that because all you do is build race cars that collect dust in your shop and get kicked off forums. Why don't you bring your car to the track? What are you affraid of? I bet you don't beat my 12abp time. Bring it out hotshot.
As for the Gforce tranny's breaking, I broke 3rd gear on mine, had some mishaps before it happened and I think that is what damaged the gear. I was doing a dry 3rd gear burnout when my rear locked up instantly but it broke the next time I took it to the track as soon as I hit 3rd. I posted the damage and yellow bullet and every response from the guys that run the tranny mention the clutch setup. It's replaced now so we will know soon lol.

Really Robert? If more companies made billet parts for rotary engines the supply would increase and demand would most likely be low or the same which would drive the cost of the parts down. Also, if more companies made parts they would have to compete with one another and this would also drive the cost down. Look at the price for forged and billet parts for piston engines when they first came out until now. Simple economics Einstein. secondly, you have a third grader's understanding of economics. no scenario will ever exist where there is high supply and low demand for these parts. no mfgr is stupid enough to mass produce a large supply of these parts when the there is no underlying demand to support them. supply and demand are not mutually exclusive.

I'd leave the shifter the way it is. You'll have way more room in the car with the rollover conversion done the way it is.
E&J makes mid plates. You can get one with either a GM or Mazda bell pattern. Get the GM pattern and then you can use any GM bell. Or, get the Mazda pattern and use a Mazda bell which will simplify flywheel/starter/clutch combinations. Quicktime makes a Mazda to GM bell. I talked to them at PRI last year and they told me they could do a custom bell for the rollover box like you have.
