I bought the car because it is an awesome looking car and has most everything I need in a track car minus a stock port motor and a smaller turbo. I have never seen a car with such great attention to detail. The cage in the car is freakin awesome and the paint is perfect.

I would probably kill myself trying to drag race it lol

Ernie was a super nice guy and answered every single question I had about the car. He wanted a small break but promised he will be back.

That's too bad. I hope he doesn't go to a piston setup for crying out loud. What was the reason for selling the car?

It would suck to see him go to a piston set up..

Nothing wrong with piston set ups but like you at one point so much was accomplished with a rotary that to see him change over would suck..

there is nothing wrong with a piston engine besides it's ineffiencies!!!!!!!!!. and that being said, you no longer belong here.. this is a rotary engine drag forum.. key word rotary engine, and please don't blah blah blah about you still tuning rotaries. the bottom line is your personal car is not..

Well maybe I have more then 1 too Buddy.
You guys are fucked up and a bunch of hypocrites
your quick to call me a quitter and I should keep going and this and that. Blah blah blah.
Yet here's ernie selling his car cause he cant keep up with the failures. What a storyline.
I should make a movie.

At the end of the day racing is racing whether your driving a rotary or not.

There's a big difference between selling your rotary because you need a break or you need to invest money/time with family vs selling your rotary and buying a piston car and worse- putting a piston engine in a rotary chassis! And trust me I will give Ernie **** too if I hear him selling because of some ***** excuse.

Let me ask you a question. Who is your favorite sports team in the world, weither it be baseball, basketball, soccer/ etc? Now lets say your favorite team is doing really crappy this year. Do you throw them aside and take the best team that year as your favorite now? Who does that? No one that I know that has any class or pride. Well, switching to a piston engine is pretty much the same thing is it not? There's millions of people running piston engines and very few running rotary engines. We need all the help and support we can get. All I can say is MAN UP!

No worries guys! This is my third FD. Im already looking for my next project. As of right now I'd like to do a 20B road race/ocassional drag/street car. Atleast thats what Im toying with right now. But the 7 is in my blood so no worres. My car went to a good home. In fact he plans on dropping a 20b in that so it should be interesting when its done. I had to take a step back. My problem is i have OCD and get so consumed with one thing, it doesn't allow time for me to focus on anything else in life which isn't good. See you guys soon!

I dont personally know any of the parties involved in the argument that well. So this is an unbiased opinion.

I cant for the life of me see why everyone gives Enzo such a hard time He came in and set a record people have tried years to set and hold onto, in his first season. And built and tuned the car himself.

Yet the guy who hands his car off to a shop and doesnt build it himself gets nothing but praise and support when he sells his? I dont understand

One did exactly what he said he was going to do, the other constantly made promises of dyno numbers and times that were rarely ever produced.

I have to agree with djseven and his comments.
Enzo has enormous respect from me and what he has achieved, so he has gone piston, so what if he is trying something new, he still builds and and tunes rotaries for other people.

Also Ernie has my admiration as well for trying different stuff over the years, he has finally got a low number and now whats to try a different project.

Its only a car hobby, dont take it too serious guys

Glad to see there's some smart people still left...

I agree completely. It must be a personal thing and cars are just a way to throw punches

It was nice to see Ernie run some low times this year and get some recognition for something other than making power. Glad the car found a good home and I like the direction Ernie is heading in for his next build

I don't care who you are or what you have done if you put a piston engine in a rotary chassis I will give you tons of **** until you come to your senses
I have nothing against Enzo, but I will keep giving him a hard time about the swap.
