electric water pump vs mechanical water pump

Hey guys i am in process f building a drag car and i want to know what is better and what power levels would the standard water pump hold up to?
I am thinking of going one of the electric water pumps and want some feedback on both pro's and con's.
So can you please tell me what your thoughts are on them and any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Mechanical wp can cause cavitation at high rpms. Which isn't good for cooling at all. If you have got a good ecu you will be able to run the EWP with that to maintain your desired water running temps.

If its a drag only car then EWP is what I would do, gives you more engine bay room too for bigger turbos

This is the one most guys run. It has 1 inlet and 1 out. It's universal and can be mounted anywhere. http://www.meziere.com/ps-892-860-wp136s.aspx

Another solution is, contact Edgar of eastcoastparts and buy his CSR EWP which mounts on the stock water pump housing. But, Im not sure if he has discontinued that product. U will need to check.
