Right on. Did you come up to me? I'm sorry, I'm very bad with names.

That would cure all your problems without having to buy a $5000+ transmission.
Thanks Allen, I was thinking about going that route as it's more in my budget.

As far as i know it can be done on any transmission. A few of the old school guys have done some crazy stuff with TII transmissions in the past. I know of one who even put a V-gate external rail shifter on a TII transmission. As for the fluid, the weight is the most important part. I don't think switching from Redline to Royal Purple will help any because they are both replacements for ATF in manual transmissions and are both 10W. In jays situation is a combination of an engine with a heavy flywheel that doesn't decelerate very fast and a transmission with warn synchronizers that don't have enough grip to accelerate the gearset. By going with the face plate engagement the dogs will mesh no matter the RPM differential. The only downsides are that you have to shift briskly all the time and you have to RPM match to downshift.

why you can try the mazda b2600 tranny ( it has to be mazda engine) is the same of turbo II but better gear's for all motor or nitrous.. just try i know a legeng in rotary in P.R. that use it long time ago, and it work. but you has to get the right gear.
goog luck

I was one of the guys that came up and was staring in awe as you made some adjustments and left the parking lot. You looked like you were in a hurry so we didn't bother you.

Oh ok. I'm sorry, I had to adjust my fuel pressure. It was only reading 3psi and was going to make a jet change but I wanted to get one last run in before my wife had enough and was in a big hurry. Next time come up and introduce yourself. I'm always eager to meet new rotor friends.

Congrats, nice to go racing with the family and also nice to do your own tuning. Can't wait to see the results down the 1/4 mile. Are any other forum members that are in this drag section near you?

jay at this point your power to weight ratio is almost tapped out. if you want to improve your e.t. your gonna have to become a little more efficient as a driver.. find a way to get those shifts in without letting of the gas.. let's go dude you just got a little 12A all motor. you could do it!!! your rx2 has about 3 tenths lost in your shifting style. with some better shifting you should be at 7.5 in the 1/8. jay look at it this way.. like squeezing an orange for it's last drop. you gotta squeeze!!! that 12A

Yeah, I try and get the family out as much as possible. My wife, son and Dad usually come out. I want to get my son hooked early. It's funny, when my son plays with cars he makes brap brap brap engine sounds. There are quite a few members around my area, but only a handfull that drag race. There are some that I know that are just finishing up their cars, so hopefully well have more racers at the track.

I agree Ito, I pretty much got this little BP tapped out as far as power goes. At this point I'm just going to practice shifting. If I can get an 11 second pass in the 1/4, I'll be very happy. Question- when shifting without letting off on the gas, do you just tap the clutch real fast and slam the gears or is there a technique?
