Just wanted to share one last tip. I've searched far and wide and tried many different cleaners for the Lexan. Hands down the best cleaner is Plexus. A little pricey but well worth it and very easy to use. Just spray it on and wipe it off with a clean microfiber cloth. Heres a pic of what it looks like.

I did my windshield in lexan several years back. I just traced the windshield onto the lexan and cut it out. Painted a black edge all the way around. Used some window sealant and screws to secure it. Came out good, cost was around $200. but i got tired of polishing out the scratches and then when the car sat for several years the sun and elements made the windshield literally impossible to see out of. At that point I chose to go back to glass. It's much easier to keep up with and after time looks better. This was for a street car though.
Good work and nice writeup!
