Best Slicks for Stock FD Wheels?

Looking to pickup a set of stickies....

Going to throw them on the stock FD wheels just for the rear, and run a pair of the spares w/cycle in the front =P The ghetto broke-*** way, haha.

I don't want a street legal D.O.T.

I want a pure street ILLEGAL slick... for track purposes only.

What is good for stock wheels? 26X10X16?

Any help would be great... the more traction the better... =)

Thanks,
-Darren-

Get the widest 26 inch tall slick you can find. It's going to be hard.

ET Drags would be the way to go but the largest diameter is 15inch. Next best I would say is ET Street. Combine that with launching on boost and you will get some really good 60ft times.

Yeah 60ft times would be nice.. if I could launch - I never launch the car.. I'm in the process of building up the rear end...so I'm looking for a set of slicks so I'm ready for the track as soon as the rear end is finished.

Hrmm.. I'm going to be need a roll cage. Even if I drive as crappy as Lupe, I'll still break 11.99 - haha. STUPID FD AND STUPID INVENTION CALLED MONEY! =/

Do the 26" tall MT ET street tires slow down your 1/4 mile MPH alittle compared to the stock tire size diamater of 24.86" ? I think they do, one reason is because the taller tires slows down the acceleration alittle just like a lower gear ratio would, and a smaller tire or higher gear ratio is usually beneficial on the drag strip right for faster times and mph.

On my stock 16" tires and 25.3" diameter 18" tires I was going 115-116 mph, best was 116.8. Then I got my 26" diameter ET street radials and been getting mostly 113-114 mph, I did get one run that was 115 mph, but on average I'm not going as fast as I did before these tires and I have to think it is because they are much taller. Anyone else have this same experience?

My best on stock street tires was 12.3 @ 116.8 with a 1.8 60ft, on the ET street radials I just got a 12.03 @114.6 after getting better 1.7 60 ft times and probably driving/lauching alittle better than before.
