the car would love more boost, but im not bothering till i change the intake setup,
the gearing is also stock and stock
first gear to second change drops to 5500 then it 5700 into third then its 6100 into forth, thats from motec logger and thats about what roughly happens most runs .
Spose i could go back to the workshop and see what the dyno chart says compared to the gearing shift points, it doesnt feal flat in any way between gears, but then again ive only just got my head around it as its all new to me

Ive got a race this weekend so ill give you fellas a update no doubt

gay weekend , im getting shitty now as we only have one meet left for me to do a 9 before season is out
My day at the track was pretty gay first qual i double crunched 4th did a 10.4 lost .4 of a sec crunching in the motec logger

second qual i hit full ignition cut just as i dumped clutch at 8700 car bogged bad then took off 11.2

first elim run i did burnout in first gear then bogged a retry burnout then red lit then skated all the way down the track to do another boring 10.4 and double crunched 4th again

Then i sat in grudgy lane for rest of night to be told to go away, then i was sitting in the crowd when i heard the commentator say rgudgies will be out soon, so i ran all the way across the track got me **** gunned it to start line to be told the commentator fucked up
Then i had multiple cans of VB and all was well

Im gonna man up and shift the rev cuts to 9500 so i dont hit limiters during the run or start line, as it shows that i do it a bit in the logging

gay season has finally finished and i didn't achieve one of my goals.
No 9 sec pass to speak of, not even getting close, i got a personal best of 10.19@134 with the usual 1.3 sum-things 60ft .
All my passes seem to top out at 134 mph .
I also have really slow gear shifts between gears, up to .5 of a second on shifts, so the stock t2 box sucks ***** , or i cant get my head around shifting hard enough .
I had dual rpm limit set up at 8750 for the launch and still got **** all

there may be a test an tune that someone is willing to set up at the track but if not then its ******* ages to wait for next season

this is some vids of my last weekend racing this year.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EETNqpisptQ
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1MV8yUAfUE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCjSPEjSukE

im still trying to figure out how to make the two step in my motec computer work, at the moment it only cuts ignition at a lower level, it doesn't retard timing or dump in fuel , so its got no real bang to build boost as well.

My only achievement so far is being Australians fastest irs fc , i dunno about fd but i dont care for them as much

Cood Vids!
I think upping the rev limit will help, my friend just hit 9s in his Street FD and he is doing 1.5 60fts, he shifts at around 9K rpm, but he is on a HKS dog box though so crashes through the gears

yeh i forgot to add that i shifted my rpm limit to 9000 rpm on gear changes too, it all seemed to be doing nothing, i gotta try something else next year , just dunno what i should do, a real box is on the cards so im sure ill bang a new time with that, but i just cant get my head around the fact that im topping out at 134mph with 20psi of boost and 2100 pounds , i know its **** all boost but from seeing other combos around the world im sure im missing something from this current combo,
I really don't think i have maxed out this setting yet, so im gonna give it a go for a small time longer and see what happens .
Then its boost time

I think its really the case of more boost needed for the higher terminal, unless your clutch is slipping in 4th

ok after our track day we had today ive come to two conclusions im shifting way gay and o have no boost, well not enough to put hair on me chest

Did 7 runs and all sat around 10.0 sumthing to 10.5 worst well im not counting the 13 sec pass
My mph is now at 138 from the 134 , and all of my 60ft times are still in the .30s sumthing

Season has now officially closed for 5 months gayness but it gives me time to plan my next adventures in rota skids

sunoco max nos and the turbo is a old school ta45 hybrid, its machined out for a 76/102mm front wheel with a 1.22 t6 rear housing cant remember the rear wheel specs as of yet but ive got to remove the turbo tomorrow so ill have a gander at it again , the boost control is off the 48mm gate only for now, next season 50mm gate going in with elect controller, and ive changed the intake set-up this weekend, ditched the ida setup.

the rear housing is a split housing, really id like to throw a bullseye or a borg on it , but its not on my to do list yet to get me back at the track, steel bellhousing with new sintered twin plate and finish fitting the full cosmo intake and changing the cooler pipes down to 3 inch pipes , fit the electronic boost controller then a retune an skids for kids

this is the intake ive been talking about changing to, a few ninja mods and a adapter plate to the block and it fits like a **** in a large sock
Ive got to plumb it up and wire it up and then paint the manifold black and its off for a retune

and hear is a small vid if the engine bay from the other car in our team, its a 13b pp tt mech injec combo with two speed glide and 20 amp magneto .
Paul either has a screw psi blown toyota v8 combo or the rota between the strut towers, but for now the v8 is getting custom billet toyota heads made for it so its back to the rotary

Why the adapter plate? Do you run a t2 engine now?

ive always ran a t2 engine, its a t2 block, with s4 rotors, and s5 exhaust ported housings, s4 half bridged plates, s6 stationary gears, s5 tapered eccentric shaft , s5 front timing cover and a exhuast manifold out of a s1 drag car , with the inlet manifold out of a cosmo i dont know if this car even knows what it is any more

the ida setup was ok but it was always going to be a restriction once boost was wound up
