AnthonyNYC & SpeedNYC back in the groove...

Fall Nationals turned out to be great for all rotaries, including the street class. Anthony and Roan got their cars back to the track after a bit of a vacation. Anthony jumped right back in at only 25lbs of boost went 10.3 @ 136mph. And Roan cracked 132mph on drag radials easing it out. Import vs Domestics at MIR in Nov. should prove to be alot of fun. Congrats guys.

Congrats. I believe SpeedNYC mph was faster. I think it was more like 135- 136mph. Both cars looked real good going down the track.

Sounds like both Anthony and Roan were laying down some power with those trap speeds, congrats guys

Does anyone have videos?

Wish like hell I could've made it, spent all day saturday wrenching on my dad's FD...... sometimes too many rotaries in the family can be a pain in the azz

this was a great event as it always turns out to be. Lots of cars running hard and the return of a few pro cars that have been MIA in recent years. the talk of the day sunday and saturday I'm sure was La Otra's new 13B record.

Anthony and I got through a lot of last minute hurdles to get our cars out on sunday. Navin from Speed-Tek (631) 940-5967 kept his shop open from 9 am friday morning till 3 Am sunday morning straight! as 4 cars were literally built for the event. none of the cars would have made it out this weekend if it wasn't for them.

Anthony ended up running a personal best of 10.3 #136 on only his second pass with his new set up; enzo racing turbo kit and rxparts.com apex seals. he was on low boost and running very rich AFRs. that car has lots more in it and is gonna fly it's next time out!

I drove my car to the track on a stock rear end and was being very carefull not to break any drivetrain parts. I rolled out the hole (2.1 60') and ended up running a personal best as well with an 11.0 @ 134 on low (25psi) boost. my goal for the day was to be able to drive the car back home and hopefully hit 130mph. I'm happy with the car and am more motivated than ever to get my cobra diff installed and see what my car can do when it cuts some 1.4 60 foots.

just want to say thanks to my crew Marly and Chris for all the help building the car over the years, and putting up with me being a pain in the ***. Thanks to Navin and the guys at Speed-Tek for all the late nights (that turn into next day afternoons) wrenching, fabricating, reengineering and everything else you guys have done for me and the car. Thanks to Enzo for the Enzo Racing turbo kit, wire harness and all the late night/early morning tuning sessions over the years. Anthony, Roy and everybody else thanks for the help, laughs and advice

P.S. Enzo, thanks for the "tough love" motivation... I guess love is love right?

now whats this I hear about a steak dinner?

I have some videos Anthony's and My runs that I'll upload in a few.

Thanks for the positive comments

Racing itself is a lot of fun but there is so much stuff that happens along the way that is probably 90% of the fun...

First I have to thank the guys at SpeedTek in Long Island NY for their support. As Roan stated they kept the shop open from Friday morning until late Saturday night. Thank you Navin for all the help and support and Noel too, great guys.

I could not have made it to this event without friends like Roan, Chris, Brian and Navin to name a few. Thursday afternoon after having the car running great for months I decided to try a new oil and a new weight of oil. A few miles after adding the oil, I heard the motor knocking. I was kinda fed up since the week before I had problems with the ECU. Either way I was fed up and told Roan to use my rear end and axle setup for the event.

Friday morning around 2:00 am I get a text, it was a pic of my motor out of my car and dissembled and ready for me to take apart. Basically I was told there is no way I am going to miss Fall Nationals and we are all going together. Roan, Chris and Navin spent the night and took the motor out of my car for me when he could have been working on his car. Thank you again.

I took the motor apart Friday morning and had the motor back together late Friday night/Sat morning. I replaced both rotors and the eshaft. By Saturday afternoon the motor was back in the car ready for some boost. It was late so we did not have much time to get the car on the dyno so I street tuned it (safely) around 1am. I got home and washed the car and loaded her on the trailer somewhat ready for Sunday.

First pass I had to lift up top and she went 10.6@131 and was spinning in 1st. Cleaned up the map a bit and 2nd pass went 10.3@136. Air fuels are still in the low 10s and I'm going to lean it out slowly. Had a blast at the track. When I saw Roan run a 11.0 rolling it out @134 mph and a 2.1 60ft I knew with a good launch his car is in the high 9s low 10s. Congrats Roan.

I'd like to also thank Enzo for the turbo kit and helping me with the setup a few weeks back till the wee hours and also for the advice whenever I have a question. Thanks Jay for the tires, Judge Ito for the gasket advice and always picking up the phone when I call, Justin for checking the axles on his car for me and Ernie and Josi for the top secret stuff!

Thanks guys.
