I think Pica car should be making as much power as this car or more. Hes run a 7.13 @191 but his car is much heavier (3/4 chassis). If pica makes it in the 6's, or even closer to it, it would be even more impressive.

besides, no one knows how much power this car is making unless they no how much it weighs.

Still very happy to see the 13b in the 6's. hope to see even lower very soon.

If Sporty rx-7 is 1800-1900 lbs we are looking at 1050-1150 horsepower which is pretty decent for those two triangles.

rotormind 12-18-07 11:09 AM

Is that really how much the car weighs?

slayerx7 12-18-07 11:15 AM

In the engine world they said if you make 1 HP per Cubic inch your doing pretty good. Then if you make 100HP per litre your doing very well.. Now that your damn near 1000 per litre, that must just be unfathomable to whoever came up with those sayings!

Congrats

well that depends on what you think the rotary engines displacement really is .

Yes, I'd like to post a story at RN.COM about the 13B record, and would like to include as many facts as possible. So if anyone has access or can point me in the right direction. Thanks, -Bern

It's running NRS Ceramic Power Seals 3mm 1pc on 40 psi, that I know for sure ;)

Probably you should show him the latest dyno sheets! :rlaugh:

Jsut give him gaby's contact info.

phoenix7 12-18-07 05:24 PM

post it here.

Glassman 12-18-07 06:08 PM

I don't have a dyno sheet past the last one but I have asked Gaby for a current one if it is available. Here is the one I have:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ondynoscan.jpg

They take the engine to 10,500 rpm and Gaby tells me the engine is making over 1000 hp from this graph and power was increasing to the 10,500 rpm mark and beyond. This prompted Gaby to ask me if there was a limit (rpm) to where they would stop making power. "I don't know" I said "why don't we find out?".

There was an issue with the turbo on the run and they have corrected that so an updated graph will tell the full story. I'll post it on the seal thread when I get it.

Bern if you want to pm me I can give you Gaby's contact info so you can get the facts together for your article.

rotormind 12-20-07 12:46 PM

Theres a video on youtube of the car making 3 dyno pulls . the car makes 980hp at 43psi

ultimatejay 12-20-07 01:51 PM

You think they are going to show what their engine is really putting out? :rlaugh:
980 is a little on the conservative side I would say.

luckyfd 12-20-07 10:51 PM

very nice

That's probably the old dyno, the same one that was posted here a while ago.

Glassman 12-22-07 09:35 PM

I talked to Gaby yesterday and they have not been on the dyno since the last graph. He is going to do another session in mid Jan 08.

Well they got at least two things wrong :(. Where do they get their info from???
- No center bearing crank
- NRS 3mm 1pc ceramic power seals. Which means the corner seals are wrong too.
It's shameful to see some other seals taking credit for NRS Power.

These guy's should get it right before putting it to print!!! What magazine is this?

Interesting... I was under the impression that car was running Metal apex seals too..

RoTaRyBoYz 04-26-08 05:30 PM

That car is also making alot more than 980 so I was say they got more than two things wrong

Glassman 04-26-08 05:42 PM

Gaby been using NRS Ceramics since 2005 ;)

neit_jnf 04-26-08 09:39 PM

ill scan it later but here's a video interview with Eddie "Sporty" Colon and he confirms the 980whp, the nrs seals, the extreme rotaries stud kit and "ball bearing" eccentric shaft
