51 IDA stacks?

I been looking every where for a set of 51 IDA stacks/trumpets for my Webers. The ones I have are dinged, scratched, and really not in that great of shape. Anyone know where to get some? Preferebly in aluminum...

that's sort of odd, i never realized that they were so hard to find. anyway, here's one at CB Performance. i'll go and check with TWM in a second to see what i find. if they are this hard to find, i may be in the same boat as you because i need a pair for my throttle body.

okay, well it appears that Borla has bought out TWM since the last time i dealt with them. that was a shock, but the good news is they seem to still have the velocity stacks for both carburetor and throttle body applications. however, at least for the Weber IDA, it appears you have to place a special order for them.

I havent dealt with Jay Cee so I can't comment on them, but I bought several jets, emulsion tubes and even a set of stacks from Gene Berg only to find out that I got bent over because they are 2 to 3 times more expensive than Shawn Geers or anyone else for that matter. But that is my fault for not doing my homework, so that is why I made that comment so that Sentwo will not make the same mistake I did. For example go to their website. Gene Berg sells a main jet for $9.20 and Shawn sells them all day long for 3.99. Emulsion tubes are even more rediculous.

I am. What made you think otherwise? The nice thing about the TII is that it uses the same jets and emulsion tubes as the 48 IDA.

175 for two stacks is kinda steep really. And I don't see where it says it's for 51ida?

Will stacks made for the 48 IDA work on a 51? I found 3 1/2 Tall Stacks with the wide mouth for only 20 each! Which is exactly what I want. But I am unsure if I can use stacks meant for 48 on my 51...?

I like those also but it does not say whether they are for 51 ida or not...?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the area where the stacks slip in was bored out also and then they made there own stacks to fit. Since the stacks are actually part of the venturi set up, have a stack that fits perfect is a big deal...

does anyone know for sure if you an use a 48 sttack on a 51?

why?

that's what i was saying. all this time, i didn't realize that the 51 has a different method of attachment to the carburetor body until i saw it on the RB site. according to them, you just need to slip them in and use a little silicone.

51's are not the only ones like that. Most of the Webers I have owned were slip in stacks. I havnt seen very many that have the spot to bolt them down in real life.
