4 barrel and jay tech manifold
i have a jay tech lower manifold. and am using a 4 barrel throttle body like this one...
but mine has no place for fuel injectors. so iwas thinking of injecting fuel this way...
either getting a 2 inch spacer and tapping it on the sides for injectors like in my crappy paint picture. or getting two 1 inch spacers, and welding in some aluminum sheet on the sides to lift them apart, and adding the injectors on the sides again.

any problems with getting my fuel this way? if you have a better idea, let me hear it...

i dont really want to drill the cast manifold. i thought about that at first. but didnt really find a spot i would like to put the injectors on the manifold either...
plus i do all my own welding. so making it is no problem.

i've contacted him many times already in the past two years. no responses at all. and have been told by other people none of those products are being made any more. plus when they were bing sold, the prices were ******* crazy...
what trouble though. it would take me 20 minutes to drill the holes and weld on the injector bungs. and with the Moroso 2" spacer only being 65 bucks. dosnt seem like a bad alternative.
so has anyone run one like this? or any other ideas?

i dont need Gato. im a certified welder myself.
what do you mean by sheap? cheap??? im not trying to do it the cheapest way. thats why im asking if my idea is any good. but what i dont want to do it tap the manifold itself...
i wish i had the TB with the injectors already in it like in the pic i posted. but to late for that now...

I have never seen a custom Intake done by Wilson , Gato and all the rest of the builders with the welds grounded off.
Oh by the way having a welder and knowing how to use it doesn't make you certified

that manifold was made over 2 years ago! before i went to school for welding/fabricating. i have since cut it up and remade one. I did that old crappy one with MIG. becuase back then, i didnt know how to TIG. I have my certification for Stick, MIG, TIG and Flux cored welding now. and have passed both bend and x-ray tests.

Back 13yrs ago I my self was a certified welder for a manufacturing co , use to tig and heliarc and was offered an oppurtinity to get underwater welding certification but was not something of my interest good money but also dangerous . now I only do it ofr my self and family
If you were so sure it will work fine , why you post for opinion n the first place?
Who sound like they know it all now?
I myself would have the injector & bong at a 45 degrees instead of 90 , just a frendly tip . Hope it work out for you

If you only plan on running 4 injectors in my opinion you should put two in the factory location on the center iron and weld two bungs in the secondary runners of the manifold. On my last intake that's what i did. Running the injectors that far away from the motor might cause idle problems. I have some pictures of both of my intake setups but not on this computer. Shoot me a PM next week and i can send you the pictures if you're interested.

For less than the custom bungs, injectors, and fuel rail you can get an auto-nomics (www.auto-nomics.com) throttle body with everything (400 ish). I did the math a few years ago, but there was no way to do it on a tighter buget. The base TB with no injectors, no rails, no IAC ect was like $70 a few year ago so if you already have that stuff it could be super cheap. As always you get what you pay for, but it worked for me. Below is a picture of mine. The throttle shafts may leak depending the boost you are running, but there are many easy fixes you can do of cheap (see second pic). I run 15 psi with no leaks. I run 6 injectors, four in the TB and 2 on the block and drive it daily to work. The other guys on this forum will know more about race applications but I figured I'd give you a heads up any way.

The TB is 750 CFM and I think it can be bored out to 1000 cfm, check out the web site to be sure. Never ran a TII intake to directly compare, I think your turbo will have more to do with responce than the TB. When I hit the dyno I'll post the results and compare them to my friends with the TII intake.

I use to help make those intakes a few years back and i do not recommend drilling or tapping those intakes. some of those intakes were inconsistent on wall thickness and would easily break with a few pecks from a screw driver especially at the bottom of the runners. check it!nothing worse than it blowing out and leaking fuel on a hot turbo mid pass...
