2010 Indy Street Car Shootout
#26
Are any of they guys going to this even planning on meeting before hand for breakfast?
There's a Cracker Barrel at the 38th St exit of I465 on the West side. I only live 4 miles minutes from the track, but would be willing to meet up with whoever wants to that morning.

Thanks for registering, Tony. I hope you tear them up in WS. Unfortunately, I won't be racing since my car isn't ready and I just don't have time while simultaneously running the event. I'll be rooting for you.

Went back to a streetport, RA super seals, ect, built by Banzai Racing. Stock gear box, just needed a new one since i stripped 3rd. The motor is going to be milder, i'm just going to throw more boost at it.

Is Ryan (radkins) going to be there to represent too?

Don't count on it.
I drive like an asian...

99% sure its fuel starvation on hard launches. After talking with Anthony and Ernie, both had the same cut. I only get it on good launches so going to run 1/2 tank of gas until I sump it. Trying to go run this weekend to get ready fo the SICC event.

Zinx, you guys put on a pretty good show. Props to you and your team. It was my wife's first time at anything other than a test and tune and she really enjoyed it. I think that says quite a bit when the women even like what's going on.
The Quick 8 final was GREAT! We left after that because we had to meet some friends for dinner.
Why did the GTR break out so early? I figured he'd keep slowing down and try to at least make it to the final.
Tony, we stopped by your car several times but, obviously, never got to see you. Sorry we missed ya.

Dang it!
My car had all kinds of trouble man...
I ran a best of 12.8.
Sooo0o0oo embarassing.
Not enough fuel, and the nearest gas station's E85 pump was out of order!
So I tried racing with 1/4 tank and it kept cutting out like Mike's did during launch.
My line lock all of a sudden doesn't work. (no power to the solenoid)
My vacuum line that goes to the wastegate is leaking so I couldn't stay in it. (boost was over 30psi since my gauge maxes out there so I fattened up the maps like crazy for anything above 23psi)
I replaced the fittings and lines the night prior to the race which obviously didn't help.
I'm going to have to take out the wastegate and inspect the diaphram.
also,
On my way home, my throttle cable melted and got stuck.
4500rpms if it wasn't in gear.
oh, and my headlight cover broke and flew off during one of my street tunes a few days before the event, so my friend made a pirate eye patch for it.

Thanks! Glad you and your wife had a good time. The quick 8 class was great, that vette was an impressive ride. An E85 car too.
I'm not sure why the GTR ran that when he could have easily ran down the mustang and still been above 11.5. He is no stranger to drag racing though, that was John Shepard. http://www.sheptrans.com/ He may have just been looking for a fast time.
