1/8 Mile Times
I'm at a 1/8 mie track and I was wondering what everyone was running. What's the best way to launch the third generation and not get the wheel hop? I have Mickey Thompsons and they hold pretty good, but it seems like the car bogs off the line no matter what you launch it at. HELP ME BEFORE THE NEXT IMPORT VERS DOMESTIC RACE!!! It runs 8.60's all day long until the heat comes out. Oh, by the way is it better to keep it running between runs to keep the turbos cool or shut it off to keep the engine cool?

8.1@97mph with a 2.3 60ft and i missed third and found myself grinding 5th and then goin back for 3rd so i figure low sevens if i had anything otehr than tiny sumitomo street tires and a hand that could shift.

how the heck you get into fifth on eigth mile track exfastws6? I am barely putting it into third as I hit the line. My times were around the mid to high 8 second range, but it was my first time at the track and i was launching like I was learning how to drive or something. My car is certainly capable of better. My 60 ft times were in the mid to high 2 second areas, so I'm sure that most of the crappyness in the times were from the bad starts. Stock 7s should run somewhere in 8s or 9s depending on driver. And as far as the wheel hop is concerned, get the M2 Toe Links. I bought my car with them already installed and it has never shown any sign of wheel hop. Anyways, I hope that helps out.

1/8 mile sucks
1/4 mile sucks a little less
I'd wait to get to a 1/4 mile track
hmm with intake, dp, cb and streetport at 10psi I got a 8.84@83.5mph with a 2.2 60 time
I haven't gotten a good 1/4 mile time yet with higher boost and midpipe
13.1@112 with passenger and 2.4 60 time is my best : (
easy 12 second car but I need soem drag radials

Would you quit spamming the forum by bumping every drag racing related thread you can find from the last 4 years? It seems pretty obvious there's no need for a drag forum at all if this is all you can find from 4 years of posts.

lupe is on a quest to annoy everyone on the forums by bumping up old drag related threads so he can get a forum dedicated to drag only.
he used to bump ***** the fs section with 9 of the same threads daily now he's moved on to the 3rd gen specific forums.
