Side port just means it's not a peripheral port. Whether that also includes a bridge port seems to be up to the person talking - I've seen it both ways.

Side port just refers to the fact that the intake ports are in the sides of the chambers. Apart from some very early examples, all Mazda rotaries used side intake ports and peripheral exhaust ports. As a high-power race-only mod the side intake ports can be filled and new peripheral intake ports cut in (or if you’re rich you can buy Mazda competition peripheral port housings). The new Renesis engine in the RX-8 moves the exhaust ports to the side like the intake ports, allowing much bigger ports to be used.
A street port is just the American name for an extend port, which is just what it sounds like. The intake ports are extended upwards increasing their size, duration and flow. The name street port just comes from the fact that this is a good port for street use before you go to a bridge port, which sacrifices some driveability for even more power.
