What is the STRONGEST Jatco Transmission for drag racing?
First of all, I hear a built jatco 3 speed transmission can be built strong and bolt straight up to a 13B.
Which of the JATCO transmissions are the best to build up?
Anyone know who offers trans brakes and performance parts for them?
I see that plenty of ausi guys are running 8's on this tranni.

Eric: Pm me if you want to get some more info. I'm doing a buy in so i can start building these here in the states. I've already got most of the stuff on it's way for mine and as soon as all the machine work is done and tested they will be produced and available for sale.

Actually every single distributor RX7 auto has a Jatco.....maybe other cars as well but those i know for sure.
Eric: you will need to find a 3n71b trans for your car if you want to do the built auto. They seem to be a dime a dozen until you start looking. I've had so many people offer to sell and i've only got 3 trans out of 12-15 people. Pain in the ***! Plus sourcing all the other needed parts is another pain but at least it'll be legal to run in the drag radial class. If your serious about it just keep in touch with me and we'll get 'er done.

Honestly I know a lot of people that modified these things to the max and they were only good for about 4 or 5 runs in a full race drag setup, 500+hp. Just too small to take the abuse. Better off with a domestic tranny.

I believe that JATCO builds almost every automatic tranny for almost all Japanese cars. (Correct me if I'm wrong) You may try looking for one from one of the higher powered JDM or export cars. You will still need to find a way to mate it to the motor though.

Opinion;; I would use a GM 350 auto , of course built up to serious HP levels, a power glide does not have a low enough ratio in 1st , so you DO have to adapt it , they have components to handle 600 ft lbs torque, 10,000 rpm.
