what does everyone in here do about tuning?
i cant get BDC or kahren to come to kentucky to tune my car because i cant find 3 other friends that need tuning... i've blown my FAIR SHARE of engines so i really dont want to try to tune my setup myself anymore. and i am a little too far from columbus to have jason tune it (i havent heard much about his tuning anyways)
what would you all suggest i do?

i have no clue what steve kan costs (doesnt list it on their site), i'm assuming its alot since i cant provide 3 other customers for him when he makes a trip...
as far as BDC, i'd definitely prefer him cause i've known him for a while, talked to him regularly about this type of stuff for years now, but i have a local car event the 14th of october, so i'd like to have my car tuned before the END of october... ie, the cincy thing wont work.
anybody have any more input on kan? how much?

NOBODY will work harder than STEVE KAN to get your car right in my experience. I have been to quite a tuning days, and STEVE KAN is top notch. You'll find a million opinions, but if STEVE KAN will be anywhere near you, it's a no brainer IMHO. Eric

Best to call each tuner for prices, but last time, Steve was 1350 plus lodging, and Brian was 250/per person, plus flight, and lodging, and will stay as many days as needed. This does not include dyno time.

Steve is fluent with more ecu's than BDC. He's basically a genius. I had around 380rwhp before mine was tuned, Steve was able to get 533rwhp by the end of the day. Could have been more if my boost controller didn't crap out.

Tuning fuel is not hard guys, get a wideband, make sure it's accurate, set the map totally rich and then gradually work on one RPM range, gently subtracting fuel until you are at your desired ratio. As for timing, the famous Hitman map worked fine on a friend's TII that I tuned. Seriously, we had that badboy running 11.5:1 all across the boost board after three one hour backroad sessions.

That 533rwhp figure, as best as I understand it, is also based on a re-calculation going from one dyno type to another. That gross percentage re-calculation could be way off. In my opinion, you may want to consider posting the actual figures along with the type of dyno it was performed on.
