Unbreakable Apex Seals
i just thought i would let you guys know that the only seals that will NOT break are the PTS seals out of aus. these seals also work on street cars well i have a friend who put them in a 600 hp sandrail cosmo engine and has not had a problem and he beats the car up for hours at a time at glamis. a crank broke on me on time split the rotor housing where you could see the rotor. the seals deformed bad went 3mm to .5mm in some spots but did not break.

Thx for sharing Abel. Do you have any knowledge of if these seals are harmfull to the housings for long term mileage? Also any knowledge about rpm limitations? Rotary R&D just keeps getting better and better. Soon your average blow engine will be a thing of the past.

That depends on some people's idea of very fast or long lasting.
For some if it last the 1/4mile or make it pass the burnout box then it's long lasting. For others who don't mind taking the motor out everytime they bend/warp then it's ok also. Then there are the rest of folks out there that need something different.
If it's the 60ft, 1320ft, 1-200 laps or 1-100k miles it's up to you to determine what works best for you. There are products out there to satisfy everyone's needs presently.

the rotor housings come out looking very good and yes something does have to wear you would not expect some thing to last forever. the tune up will determine your fate so if your an idiot or you go to one , then they will bend or wear but under no circumstance break

i'd have to give my Rotary Aviation Apex seals a +1, I've detonated the motor pretty badly a few times and its still strong. Last comp test at about 10-15k miles showed 110+ on all faces.
I'm useing stock springs BTW.

What I would like too see are some 'PTS' results from actual daily driven high powered applications.
There are another brand 'bendable' of apex seals that are going to hit the market soon. I've seen those in testing being tried to be broken. Let's say everything else broke on the motor except the apex seal so they did what was claimed.
