Well I like all of your ideas so far but basically i've heard many people saying to keep the rx7, buy a supra, or a ls1... I personally like the ws6 which is the same engine as the ls1 maybe that will be a good choice... Opinions?????

that is an odd third choice considering your other two. Why do you want a Trans-Am?

Also, not sure if you know exactly what you're saying. WS6 is a trim package for a Trans-Am (just like the 'SS' designation for Camaro Z28s). They both had the LS1 engine since the redesign of the 4th gen F-body. The Corvette also has the LS1 (but the C6 does not).

and just so everyone knows, an 11 sec FD is very easy to maintain and keep on the street. mine will run 11's easy on pump gas and i drive it every second i can, and definately not easy on it. she keeps comin back for more
I actually beg to differ......look at #3 (Dana Westover)on the fastest Supra list. It ran in the low 9's with only 750rwhp no nitrous and it has a/c,p/s, and this was done on DR's. The car is totally streetable and does it on a regular basis. As of now running the 8.89 it has a little more power but not much.....maybe a 100rwhp +/-. The car also weighs in at 3600lbs.

You can also look down to Daniel Donofan which ran a 9.93 on a stock bottom end and dynoed at 675rwhp. He'll be running much deeper into the 9's with no other changes to the motor. The suspension just needs to be dialed in a little more.

I'm not trying to flame or anything....just letting you know the facts. I'm shooting for high 8's in my RX7 by the Supra's invade Las Vegas meet in October. We'll see how that goes but i really don't see low low 9's being too much of a problem. High 8's will take a little extra ooomph for sure

He has slightly over 400RWHP. He ran that time on stock twins, street port and street ET's. Very possible, plus did you see him launch in his video?....

I personally went to TX2K4 - the big Supra meet in Houston. There are SO SO many 9 and 10 second STREET supras out there its retarded!!! I would say that the best way to beat that Supra in the RX-7 would be to talk to the guys at www.torquecentral.com

isn't simply removing ANY stock emmisions parts from a car against federal law?

i was pretty sure it was, so forget about anything being "street legal". saying "street legal" is just like saying "streetable", it's all about the hassles you want to deal with and the luck you have at getting away with them.

I consider street legal to be whre you can take your car in for a complete motor vehicle inspection (aka safety inspection) and it passes fine.

Streetable on the other hand is a variable term - different in some way or another from person to person.

In which Country / State !?

**** in Ca. a stock FD won't pass without some crossing of the fingers, or help from Alchohol, for the tester or the car

he had 404whp BEFORE the porting and an additional tune. it's hard saying what he really has now. the main thing that got him there was incredible driving, no doubt

Whichever CountryState the car is registered in. I guess that's the tough luck of living in California then!

Speaking of North America, seriously, if there are more than that many who are they?
It's a great idea if he really wants to dump all the money into it.

I have only heard of 1 RX-7 in Japan with a 2JZ and one in the United States, a very expensive complicated swap.
