Lightbulb Screw TI apex seals

i was wondering if anyone has thought about using nikasil for apex seals.if no why not?

This might be a good idea, My motorcycle doesn't have cylinder sleeves, they jsut plated the bare aluminum with nikasil.

why not

im no metalurgist (sp?) so i dont know the capabilitys of the material.i was hopeing that someone with much more knowledge that i about metal would chime in...

Ti is not the magical metal that can be used for everything.

Nor is carbon fibre a magical material.

Each material is good at different things.

Bruce Turrentine hired a metalurgist to do the work. They've come up w/ some new alloy that's supposed to be the shiznit. Hope so. He's(Rotary Aviation) is selling the seals cheap right now and last I heard having great success w/ the new seals. Anybody heard any updates, know anybody using them yet?
