RX7 S3 axle strength

Hi guys ! I know this has been asked numerous times but has anyone pushed the stock RX7 S3 diff ( GSL-SE) to its limits? what kind of HP can it handle? what would be the weak link link that could be strengthened? axles maybe ? I am hoping that it can take around around 220-240 hp to wheels ( NA 13B ) and want to install one for its lighter weight than say a Toyota or Ford 8.8 " or even a 9" . It will never be taken to the strip on slicks as long as it can take a bit of a beating every now and then on the street .One thing I did notice though is the tubing on the diff housing has thin tubes 2.5" diameter which look thin maybe thats where the weight savings come in? did earlier housings come in a 3" housing? or it wont be an issue as far as not bending the housing.
Thanks

back in the day (10 years ago) went 11.4 at 126mph with a 1.5# 60 ft time. 400wrhp. Never broke an SE axle. Broke two SE trans but that was at 7000rpms in 3rd gear. Had well over 200 1/4 passes. BFG drag radials. It's all in the clutch set up if things break, to a point that is. Dumping the clutch is overrated.

it should be able to handle 250hp no problem without drag launches. these days there are stronger axles and there are big brake kits (respeed). the diff was used up until 2005 in the miata and 2009 in the S2000, so there are plenty of different ratios available.

the diff came in clutch type, and torsen, and there is aftermarket there too (kaaz)

the housing is weak when you jump the car, the off roaders and rally-ists bend/break things.

i've got an 82 and i plan on about 225rwhp with track days, autocross and some drag launches, and i hadn't even thought twice about the rear axle, which 100% stock.
