I talked to David about the problem of fuel dilution and he wanted me to send some of my old dyno oil to him for testing. He told me that some FD's he had tested were showing 5% dilution with fuel being in the old oil at the oil change. Anything over 3% I think he said and the oil's lubricating properties are severly hampered, less protection. The 20w50 they have is what he'd recommend for those with a high dilution rate (more able to suspend the fuel so the oil can still do its lub job), but if its not a 10w30 or 5w30 is what recommended for me in GA. I run the 20w50 here in GA. except in winter.

yeah, that's what i'm trying to say. i get a lot of fuel dilution in my street car, so i have to change oil quite often, about every 2k miles. would switching to rp allow me to run longer intervals btwn. oil changes? this is assuming that their oils have some sort of chemical property which somehow counterbalances fuel in the oil as marcus was referring to.
