a 13B is 79ci. and actually, there are cars running 7's on 1.3L

BTW, Mopars were my first love. when i was 17 i almost bought a 69 440 Charger, but at the last minute i decided to buy a 10AE turbo II. I've been rotary for 8 years and i havent looked back yet!!

So did he have the stock tranny in for that run? I think I already know the answer. I just don't see the math working out on stock parts.

Magnus: you have 540rwhp and run 10.46....he has 640rwhp and runs 9.1???? What is he doing so different? Not that I'm doubting.....just wondering what else you can do to get that much traction and not break things. Congratulations to them! That is a SICK run!

Actually I asked him today when I called about my order ..... he hasn't run 8s before so I have no idea where that came from. He is sticking to the street class for this year, so stock tranny and the new tires for this year (ie tires closer to the ones of 2 years ago when he got his 9.6 run).

That is such an unbelievable time in Street class trim!!!!! Like I said ....not doubting him....just really really suprised at the level of performance that he's at! There's no reason for the rest of us to compete in a class that is going to have people running low 9's. I'm sure the Street class will have some rule changes soon if that is the norm. Looks like I'll be in the next bracket

Cool Drag Racing

Drag Racing, Yessssssss we need more rotorheads to drag race and take over the import scene to many supras ,hondas, mitsu, and not enough rx's. I say very good job to Rx7.com in putting that rotor in the 9.1:1party:

Ari is also using a G-Force tranny but not the clutchless type! He's using the Pro-shift version with a H-pattern shifter that makes it legal in the street class. Last year when he ran 10.0 on drag radials in competition he was using this trans. This year it's now legal to use Slicks in the street class in all the sanctioning bodies except the NHRA so records are going to be broken for sure. The rules for the street class this year even allows solid rear end swaps and mini tubs but with a weight penality.
Even if Ari's 9.11 run was not done at legal weight for a car running slicks in the street class the added weight is not going to hurt his ET that much.
Let's see if those AWD's can match the performance in the street class.

Watch it Crispeed, you know our talon AWD makes 623hp

we may be going to NDRA this year instead of NHRA, they will allow our Talon to race with the FWD's, I don't want to have to line up with you in the AWD! I'll get a beating!

silvr94r2: Ari makes about 100 more hp than us, and our times were recorded when the car was only producing around 470hp, you can say it was 'dialed', we have yet to test it with the newfound power or nitrous yet. Plus being in Canada, we can't test in the winter, and that my friends really sucks.

Plus he has a 5 speed dogbox......

Chris, Is the track open by you yet, I'm thinking of making a trip, Jefferlito and I need to get our licenses

hmm.....I guess I'm not suppose to say either if he already told you not to say anything.....

All I can say is that the car is setup for WIC as is. I estimated that the car should run 8.70's if he makes a full pass.

Street slicks or true racing slicks? I was thinking they were gonna let people use bias belted tires if they wanted instead of radials but don't remember reading anything about slicks. If that the facts then oh boy, gonna be ALOT of records broken!

I thought it was bias ply also....damn! I'm soooo stupid! I should've checked on the rules better. Which sanction allows slicks? I thought NHRA and IDRC are both bias. Oh well.....on to the next bracket. I'm getting a new tranny!

Crispeed: how much is the Gforce with the H-pattern you were talking about?

Magnus:Have you gotten any info on the dogbox from the other thread yet? It sounds pretty cool....I don't really know much about those but am for sure interested.

STEVE!
You're always not suppposed to say anything but you do anyway!
At least I keep all your secrets at heart!
So Ari is ready for the WIC or as it's better known down here as the World Scam Challenge! Better hope he gets payed if he wins!
So Ari's going to run 8.70's at the WIC! HMMMMMMM!
I know someone else that's going to be running there also in the same class too!

Two events down here in April!
First one at Moroso and the second would be the NHRA Import opener at Gainsville. Both events are a week apart so make plans!
