Remote Oil filter installation:

I am gathering parts for my rotary Miata swap and am tossing around the idea of relocating the oil filter to avoid some fitment issues back by the firewall. I am hoping to accomplish this swap without having to cut up the car. And I really think it's possible. Ultimately if I can avoid fitment issues before I get the car apart I will be able to make this a little less painless. I am reading everyone elses disasters and learning. I am not into frankenstein builds so the end result will need to look like it was supposed to be there from the factory. So beating and cutting is not really an option. I think if I think of all the possible problems ahead of time the need to "rig" stuff will be avoided.

I am looking at the Racing Beat oil filter relocation kit, which includes a blockoff and relocation kit. The blockoff includes a port for oil pressure guages etc.

Has anyone installed this kit? I assume that you end up putting this inline from the oil cooler? but may be mistaken, can anyone post pictures of thier install, or if you know exactly where you intersect the lines I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

I didn't use a racing beat one, but I have relocated my filter on my 20B FD swap. Looks really neat and now I can also use a large volume filter.
