I wrote a letter to NHRA and they had a some what "good" respond, maybe sometime next year it could be a possibility.
2.6 v's 2.6 would be fair

But it is hard to police a boinger with all that bore stroke Bull **** they get up to ! Bit hard doing that to a rotary.

LOL you need to watch out though, some one may have a 13B with 100mm wide rotors and housings

Take your tape measure to the track!!!!

nice one by the way Ito! When are you going to crack 8s and chase down Bam Bam??
Thanks Steve, Man I love to see that BamBam miata Run on the bottle. He himself told me, if NHRA would make a nitrous class, they would bring about 5 N20 mazda's from the Island to the states. I'm just going to keep plucking away with my brothers Rx3 until mine is finished. My Rx3 is about 300lbs ligther. With all the extra mods that my car is going to have, it should run decent 8's .

Judge,
AJC and I have been drooling over A777's pic's... and he is still in London!... the *****...
We are dealing with it well, however, especially after the note we dropped to customs over here: he'll be in for a "suprise" when he gets back...
The SOB sent a pic of a 20b chassis car will a turbo almost the size of AJC's head!

So what final weight do you expect your new car to be all up?

might that 20B chassis car belong to Denis Marquis??
did the car have a yellow FD body?
if so i think it's Denis' car. the 20B was built in your country buzz, check rotarypower australia's web page for early pics of that car....

ahh yes Speed NYC, that's the one. A777's pic was the engine from the firewall forward so I couldn't pick it. I saw another pic this morning with the rest of the chassis / shell - looks great! Is it a 20b pp ?

I don't believe the workshop is operating anymore....

yeah i noticed that thier webpage has been down for a while...

they seemed to have a very impresive client list, too bad thier out of business.
that car is absolutely beautiful, but unfortunately, its performance has yet to be proven.
the car ran once that i know of, but it made like a 10 sec pass with the motor breaking up. other than that it just decorates the pit area at local events.

i think he is looking for sponsorship, (look at the message on the windshield), its a shame that the car isn't being used to its potential, denis is definately an all out driver. he flipped his old car (a backhalved starlet, also named cecilia) about 3 years ago, i havent seen him in a competitive car since

and oh yes, by the looks of the intake, i think the 20B is a PP

Buzz, I am hoping for no more then 1650lbs with me in the car. I mean Bam Bam Mazda Miata tips the scale @ 1575lbs and stop's the clock at 8.55 @152mph with that MFR P-Port N20 set up. I'm going to stick to the Bridgy semi P-port. big exhaust ports so I could flow gods of gas. tomorrow Saturday I suppose to pick up my Rx3 from the chassis shop. Ill keep you posted, If I get it back tomorow Ill post pics.. it looks super mean...

Yeah Man, Pepeloco and I go way back. I mean from drag racing in the streets of NYC (Hunt's Point, next to the Coca Cola company, next to shea stadium) Way back when our local tracks like englishtown and Atco didn't know what an Import was. Hunt's Point in the Bronx was my school of hard knocks. Alot of boricuas, dominican, trinidad, jamaican racers up here in the north east. I would say that is why the Pan American Nationals are the best. Basically all the local import guys just come down to atco for some really good drags, like the way it use to be back in the days. About 15 years ago Hunt's Point use to be like the Pan American Nationals, but on a every weekend tip Man sorry for getting carried away, I just had a flash back....

Judge Ito -
I pulled the Bridge from my rx2 to shake a noise defect - oh, and the harsh idle / drive made my son throw up every day on the way to the baby sitters.... that had started to wear thin, so I swapped to a stock 13b to get it roadworthy and legal again. Then a while later I sold the rx2 in that stock form and eventually decided I needed another toy, hence the mazda 1300 2door sedan - which now has a webered 13b bp courtousy of my spare parts collection!!!!

Buzz, When you say"courtasy of my spare parts collection" are you talking about "Bit's and pieces" Man I put something like that together for a friend that was in a jam.(no money but a good friend) and I stamped on the rotor housings"Scrappy Power" this was done about 6 years ago, and Scrappy Power is still getting by, Scrappy it's know tired and smoking from the used oil seals that were used, but it's still alive...

PeeJay, you can always venture to National Trails! That is where most of my friends and I race. I would like to hit up Norwalk, as its a far nicer track, but its a little far for an afternoon trip to the track and having something break.

I've seen the rules for National Trail... I wouldn't go there if ya paid me! Tons of BS like tech inspections, you need a pass to even get to the staging lanes, etc. Norwalk, anybody can go anywhere and people usually stand with video cameras 5 feet from the bornout box

heheheh - the Judge has it sussed.
the engine was a runner when I pulled it so I've left it unopened and fitted it up to give me the chance to address the other rotary life support issues like oil cooling etc. I figured if something went wrong and the crap engine died then it was no great loss, but if a decent race engine siezed I'd be hell out of pocket!
its all fun.

It's getting harder and harder. We took my brothers Rx3 back to the track. The last run we had when I started this thread was 9.19 @140 mph. The new first run was 9.13@ 142mph. I tunned it better and we lost our 1.22 60' to a tire spinning 1.28 but still pulled a 9.16 @142 mph. The car is making more power but I need more traction. If we could get the car back down to a 1.21 60' the Rx3 could run a 9.05 the way it's tunned now. We are waitting for UPS to beep the horn with our new 29X12 goodyear slicks, before we had 28X11. I see that at this point it's getting a bit harder and harder to improve thousands of a second. No problem, wider slicks and more, more, more Nitrous
