Nitrous Oxide. Yes, it's the best BANG for the Buck!

Today we had the 3rd NHRA import series race @ Atco Raceway in NJ USA. We took my brothers Rx3. This Rx3 has a very simple Bridgeport 13B engine with a $ 600.00 NOS kit. Today we took the Rx3 into a 9.1 Blast @ 140mph, we are talking about 2 tenth's away from a very nice 8.9 E.T. with a $600.00 NOS kit. I say yes N20 is the best BANG for the BUCK.
Hey Buzz the bridgy is getting faster and faster, seems like a p-port is not really needed so far . Hey AJC13B (Steve)I meet Agnus from www.fullboost.com.au(his user name is A777) @ the track, we talked rotary for about 2 hours he was taking pics and video's. Some people talk about rotary engine's and not being reliable. Well this 13B bridgeport lives @ 11,500 RPM's and it has lived there for 1 year of consistent abuse, without tearing the engine apart. next tuesday we will be tunning for the 8.9 ET.. to be continue..

Congrats!
To Ito and Little Josh!
You're very close to beating that USA 8.90 nitrous record!
Imagine the performance in a lighter car!
Hint Hint------> Ito's Rx-3!

This sounds great for a car that uses no turbo system...So your motor is juss bult w/bridge ports and a NOS system and your runnin 9's.. this is impressive...whut do u think about if I nos'd my lil FC here? 87 N/A stripped/plex glass...

Congrats on the numbers, the car looks fantastic. I wish this country had cars that looked as good as that.... I agree, the rx3 looks better than a 3rd gen.

we better bug A777 to paint his car with something more "striking"!

AJC - the money you save on the christmas card should go towards a blue bottle. I won't tell DrN2O (aka A777)

congratulations ito, and be sure to crush that record
I wonder what a BPed 20b w/ N2O would do

The quickest time I believe in PR for a 13B on nitrous would be the Miata 'BAM BAM' from Vivo racing which ran in the 8.50's or 8.60's!
It's a PP 13B Haltech controlled. Imagine what a 20B with that set up would run.
I know of a certain racer here in FL who's competing in the all motor class at NHRA with a 20B that's got an itchy nitrous finger. Only time will tell!

Judge,
Congratulations on your Numbers, I am sure they will come down and set new records for the rest of us to admire. It is fantastic to see you percerviering with the little blue helper, N2O(reliability) has been a black art for most rotors at your level of performance, it sure should open peoples eyes to the alternative methods of Supercharging. Perhaps you can give me a seminar next time!!!!
Regards- Anthony.

To Node, buzz, and Anthony Rod's thanks for the congrats. Anthony I'm sure you don't need a Nitrous seminar when your flying with the turbo application. At a time when everybody here in the states feel, they need to run turbo, to catch up with the rest of the crowd, I would say build a nice super light weight nitrous car and tell NHRA we need a N/A N20 class with a 2 rotor and up to 2.6 liter 4 cil. engines(no 3 rotor or 6 cil in this class) this way your average person could go out there and be competitive at a very affordable price. Because Anthony you yourself, was witness to corporate America backing up the pro class. That Summit Racing pick up, has all the resources available, your average racer doesn't.

That's what Mazdatrix's car was running.... IIRC it ran a best of 9.83, untuned, and only on one nitrous stage.

That just makes WAY too much sense!

They'll never allow it, you know why? It would cost SO MUCH to make a piston engine competitive in that arrangement that it might as well be a rotary-only class. Maybe 1.6l with nitrous and turbo, or 3.0l nitrous only, to throw the boingers a bone, otherwise i doubt it'd fly.

I would say it could work with a 2.6 lt. piston engine on a N20 set up. I know of a fellow running a 3tc toyota engine 2.0lt. and runs a consistent 9.3 @136mph, If we allow the piston racers to run a 2.6 lt. engine it would be a very competitive class. I wrote a letter to NHRA and they had a some what "good" respond, maybe sometime next year it could be a possibility.

If it works out then I might even build a car that runs off the evil bottle But first I'd have to find an NHRA track in the area! Norwalk is IHRA...

There should not be an arguement whether a 4 banger could cut it. What did the 4cyl truck run last weekend? as against what was Abel's best 2 rotor pass. If someone with a 4 hasn't done the homework, someone like the Judge deserves the advantage he has earned. But dont worry it will only be a matter of time before a 4 does the business.
Regards-Anthony
