Sell your non-turbo car and buy a TurboII, and then install a big K&N air filter and BOV so you can hear the turbo. The total cost will be about $500-1,000 more than you spent on your non-turbo car. Adding a turbo to your current car will not be worth the money or effort.

you don't need a turbo to drift, it's just easier to break the tires loose. Search around for drifting in the racing section.

The guy said he only likes the sound a turbo makes; if he can drift, he'll stay N/A

Actually. I'm serious. A big cone filter lets you hear the turbo and intake noise much better because stock air boxes are specially designed to reduce this noise. The same goes for the stock bypass valve vs. a BOV.

by the way you can drift an na fc with lsd pretty easily. i used to drift my gxl. i feel like it would be a more reliable drift car than my t2 but its a little underpowered. but then again the ae86s are underpowered and there out there in force.

if he wants a turbo because it makes a cool sound, im guessing he probably doesnt know the first thing about drifting.

If he knew all about drifting, he wouldn't be asking such questions in an internet forum.

Besides, drifting is all about showmanship, in which case cool sounds play a vital role. I think the same goes for burnout contests.
