I have a road race Rx7 with a PP engine "260 hp at the wheel", but I'm running a stock rear diff.
I'm looking for options for a higher gears set up "4.87 or maybe 5.12", the only available gears are 4.3 from racing beat.

Any one know a trick or two !

P.S: I've heard that Mazda truck came with a higher gear ratio ?

The trucks had a 4.625. So that might be what your looking for. I don't think the center section will just slip in though. I just know thats the ratio because i own a couple of REPU's. But any ways i think the rearend would fit but they are drum rears and you don't want that. I realy am not sure but someone should know what to do. By the way is your engine a 12a or 13b? and are you 48 ida or 51? or EFI? I am almost done with my 12a pp. and that is going into my rx-3. well thats my thoughts.

Mazda comp has both a 4.875 ring and pinion part# 1312-27-110A and a 5.125 r and p part# 1480-27-110 their site is at www.mazdamotorsports.com the 4.875 list at $281.40 the 5.125 lists at$561.65 This is the short pinion design that fits 79-85 rx 7,94-01 Miata,rx 2and rx-3 sp only. can be lengthened to fit 86 to 91 non turbo. Also the 84-84 GSL-SE came with a 4.09 ring and pinion if memory serves me right.
