Need 280rwhp out of a NA 12a, will a properly setup PP supply this?

Need 280rwhp out of a NA 12a, will a properly setup PP supply this?

as title says can i squeeze 280rwhp out of a properly setup PP 12a

and

Is it possible with a carb?

BTW could care less about streetabiliy of this setup, it is a bet i have with a buddy of mine. he says theres no way 280rwhp outa a 1.1 liter NA

I'm not sure about 12a pports, or 12a's for that matter, but you could get 280hp at the flywheel probably

It's possible, but not with a carb.

The early '80s GTU teams were making about 280hp with fuel injection and Mazda peripeheral port rotor housings. When they were forced to switch to a carb, they lost power but got back up to 280hp by altering the port window to a square shape instead of a D-shape, which also made the powerband narrower.

Perhaps you should be more pwrried about the area under the curve instead of a single peak HP figure. 99% of the time, the engine is not running at peak HP, it's above it or below it.

I havea a Buddy Here in portland, who has a rx-3 PP 12a. sais dynoed it at 325 at the flywheel.
He also has about 15 g's into his motor.
But 280 hourse is possible.
