Ok guys so i mentioned i came back to the Rx world. FInally!!!

So here we go. I just finished buying a 1983 rx7. I found out that the engine has a small street port. No wonder it sounds so damn good when i rev and drive
But any who.. the engine is street port and the intake maifold is also ported to match the port on the engine.

Now... heres the thing i want to know if i could do.. The engine is ideling at 1,500 cold start than after i drop the choke when i think its ready it idels at about 1,300
Idk but i want to know if i could drop the idel a bit more down. and if i could how much and would it afect my perfomance in this car.???

So any one who has experince with small street port on a 12A carb plez tell me what they think i should do. and if there is anything eles i should do on intake.

You can keep dropping the idle until it just doesnt want to idle no more. If it really is a "small" street port you should be able to idle about the same as stock.

 

i have a high idle problem to but can't seem to figure out the prob

 

ok one more thing.. i know no one could tell me about how manny hp i have but i want anyone who might know give me some numbers.. so
this is my set up
Rebuild 12a motor small street port and intake maifold opened up to. fuel pump holly. i have a fuel regulator which lets about 6 to 7 pis of gas pupm. I Have the stock carb.. and a racing beat exuahst system..
I have a holly carb sitting in my room.. thinking about taking the stock one out and put in this one..

so any one with this information i just gave out.. can you give me an estamte on how much hp i have...

You may have around 120-140hp
