My SLOW FD

Im always reading about how fast rx-7s are and how they can beat all of these other cars but for some reason mine cant.
it cant even do a burn out.
its a 93 automatic rx-7 with the hks intake, dp, mp, and hks exhaust. it had a reman put in by the dealership at 76k its now at 94k miles.
ive lost to every car ive ever raced except a stock honda civic. ive been beaten by mustangs, non turbo eclipses, 240sx, crx, and many more.
my car is a joke to everyone and i want to know why. its lost to 16 second cars when its supposed to run 14s stock.
what could be wrong?

please help me out.

I have an auto FD too man. I've lost to some crumy cars too but have beten some also. I kinda wander the same thing there too why do I lose or bearly beat some ppl when it should be doing a 14 somethign stock. I've been doing some auto shifting kinda stuff. Where I'll push the hold button and start out at 1st then go up 2nd then 3rd then turn off the hold button. I duno if that makes any big differnace but to me it seams like it takes off faster then putting in in drive.

The auto tranny in the 7 is a POS. However you should be running mid to low 13's with those mods. I run in the area of a 13.2 with intake and a full straight pipe exhaust. The trick off the line is to hold the brake and depress the accelerator. Here is a thread about the auto's you may want to take a look at.

If you are running too slow though it may be your engine or boost problems. How are your boost figures?

I dont have a boost gauge so I dont know.
When I launch I hold the break to the floor and hold the rpms at about 3 and I beat just about every car off the line but after that all i see is taillights.
