Marcos Acosta is Back!!!!!
YEA BABY, After the 3 rotor was gone they were supposed to come out with a s2000 powered civic RWD but they built this instead!!
Acosta returns: Marcos Acosta, absent from the NHRA Summit Pro class this season after having his prized Mazda MX-3, his trailer, and all parts stolen last October from his New Jersey shop, has announced that he will be returning to battle with a twin-turbo three-rotor 2002 Mazda B3000 truck. "Marcos Acosta and MVA Motorsport have been sitting on the bench for too long," said the three-time Pro Import champion of the Dominican Republic. "Now is time to play ball!"
The truck, which will run a twin-turbo four-rotor at non-NHRA events, was built by Jerry Bickel and the engines prepared in-house at MVA Motorsport in Hackensack, N.J. The three-rotor engine already has produced more than 1,200 horsepower at the rear wheels.
"We will be going to the rest of the NHRA season," said Acosta, who competed earlier this season in the Modified class at the Lucas Oil Products NHRA Sport Compact Nationals in Atco with a customer's Mazda RX-3, "and I would like to send special thanks to all the people who helped us out: Nester and Jason Bruce at Holley, Anthony at Microtech, Rick at Innovative Turbo System, Darrle at Belle-1, Rob at C&R Racing Radiators, and all my guys at MVA Motorsport.
TWIN TURBO 4 ROTOR BABY!!!!!! SUCK ON THAT!!!!!!!! I CANT WAIT!!!

Sweet!!
Mazsport in Sydney (they build my engine) are just about to start putting a 4 rotor twin turbo together for a customer. The engine will be going in a full chassis 96 BMW m3. The chassis work is done and brand new housings, plates etc are being sourced right now...
The car will hopefully be finished for the 4 and Rotor Jamboree in September....

Ok, in the original post, it says that he has 2 engine. A 3-rotor and a 4-rotor. From what I got out of it, he's running the 3-rotor for most events, but will run the 4-rotor engine in the truck for non-NHRA events.
If the original post was accurate, the 1200hp was for the 3-rotor, not the 4-rotor engine.

you are correct,
the 1200hp was the same setup as in the mx3
the chassis on the mx3 was not too good so they could
never keep traction. This new truck looks like he might
have the forumla. I [b]heard]/b] that he got a different
(better)chassis builder to do this car. Hopefully he can
come back stomping. I missed the Mx3.

the MX-3 had too short of a wheel base for that kind of power, that's why once in awhile you would see him lose control of the car!! now with a truck platform you can take the wheel base up to 125" and it won't look to out of place and will be very stable at speed
