I've been trying to find more info on it as well, or at the very least a picture of this (or a similar) setup on an FD.

THe carb style intake is much wider than the factory REW intake. You would have to custom made header so the turbo would clear the intake. There are people on the forum making insane amounts of HP using the stock upper and a xcessive lower. IMO that would be a much better setup on an FD. But if you just really had your heart set on that intake i would recommend going with the 4 barrel throttle body instead of the single plate mustang style. I am not an expert on the subject though, my car is very light and has a very low gear. It works well in my case but i don't know how it would perform in a heaver car.

Just my $0.02

Yea, i've been decided on getting the xcessive LIM for awhile now but this manifold setup always struck me as interesting (different) and I could never really find much on it. I've become rather obssessed with cleaning up the engine bay and this seems like it would accomplish that rather well .

^ yeah thats my main reasoning... whats not going to be so nice is a huge throttle body takes away the nice crisp throttle control.

as for the injectors go... i can keep the primaries in block. yet the secondaries would have to be put up top in that carb elbo thats gonna suck to hook fuel up to i think... maybe the xcessive is a better route. just thinking about moving my secondaries is not making me happy. this manifold would take them much further from the combustion chamber. i think my interest in this manifold is lost. thank you

That's Jay -Tech's old intake system; nobody uses that TB\injector adapter, hell even Dee's car had a fire due to that design!

The way to go, is to use a holley style TB, that provides for 4 (or 8) injectors.

There is a place that sells inserts, to reduce the stock holley style TB to whatever you want (stock is 750cfm, and can be modified up to 1000cfm).

You can do that and have 4 secondary injectors like the xcessive, or move your primaries all the way up to the TB.

^ how would this affect the atomization of the fuel? i was always taught to keep the fuel close to the combustion chamber... if its further away there has to be benifit for doing it. so is there any? also do you have any picture of the xcessive lim?

i dont really see the difference in the stock verse this. is it just port diameter? runner length possibly longer? you can use the aftermarket kg rails with this no problem right?

The runner diameter is larger and more constant throughout the port. They eliminated the two flat spots that the stock lower has. They also made it where the length of the front and rear runners are closer to the same. As for the rail i don't know.

If anyone is interested on one of the original Jay-Tech REW intakes, I have one that I will not be using. If interested, PM me. It has been sandblasted and is ready for powdercoating, which I can do in your choice of color.

Can't really answer your questions, as I am not qualified nor have the knowledge to guide you in the right direction. I have the intake, and holley style TB, will be installing it sometime this year

While mocking up my system (FC3s), the turbo needed a few degrees of angle towards the fender. I ended up custom making a spacer between the turbo and the manifold, enough to clear the manifold.

Get your info right before you post. That is not why Dee's car had a fire....

Well that's what was rumored...

On any case, its an old design an BARELY used by those who normally run the the jay-tech\RB holley intake; besides the threads that hold the injector rails do fail. Chapo racing (mid 90's drag car) had the very same system, guess what happened to that car?

It's not the manifold, its the spacer on top of it (the one on the pic); its a non issue on the holley style TB

I've got the jaytech 6 port setup with the bath tub throttle body.. the 1 that is 2 large ovals instead of 4 holes.. should have it running with a to4sBB in about 3 months.. only in for 475 on both intake/throttlebody/hat/rails.. should be a fun little daily driver..

I'm pretty sure it's a copy of the Jaytech. The Jaguar company that sold the LIM on ebay, they were selling the JW Intakes.
