So was mine. I know how to drive. I've been drag racing for about 2 years now and I have previously been driving a 97 GSX and I got used to it and the hard launches, but now I have sold my GSX and moved on to bigger and better things, my FD. I understand what you mean about other drivers and times but I am wanting to see what a "good" driver can accomplish with similar mods. The FD is a lot different then my GSX as far as launching goes because of the RWD. This is my first RWD car and on the street I am starting to get it down but the track has always been a completely different arena all together and I have ran through on the street at around 112mph based on our 1/4 mile area which is fairly close but of course not perfect. I used to be able to throw down 1.7 60' and 12.2 1/4 miles in my GSX and I hope to be able to outrun my GSX eventually. On the street is where the Eclipse really shined because of small amount of tire spin but the FD''s I have seen at the track seem to hook up pretty good as well so I'll just hope for the best. But when I get there I would like to be able to make a pass and say "that's about right" Practice makes perfect but I don't want to high of goals for myself but I also don't expect 13.5 or higher. I hope for a mid 12 or so, is that about right? BTW, I don't have a sister either. So don't arrest me Mr. Forum Cop. Your eyes look a little GLAZED, have you been eating DONUTS?

You'll need to lose the cat for a hi-flo cat or midpipe for low-mid 12s - I'd say you'll run 12.8-12.9 at 109.

I went ahead and bought a RX7 Fashion Midpipe and a Denso Fuel Pump and am getting my PFC retuned by XS engineering. So now I have a few more ponies under the hood. The track will be closed this weekend anyways so I will have to wait.

I know Josey very well. His best time was a 12.0 but that was when no one was running 12.0 in a street FD.

Anthony did run 11.1 on stock twins...that car ran hard.
Belive it was street-port, Pettit unlimited chip and non-seq turbos.

and to shed some new light on the subject......

My 94 FD just ran 12.004 @ 114.66mph with 92mph in the 1/8th on Nitto drags with only few bolts-ons.
Still on stock motor (43k miles), non-seq turbos(14psi), stock intercooler, injectors and fuel pump.

Mods are...Greddy PE cat-back, Greddy air filter, mid-pipe, 3" down pipe, Crane HI-6 and Power FC with base maps

I know fuel pump and injectors are pretty much maxed out but high 11's will happen soon !!!

John, we know anthony ran 11.1 on the twins, we wetre disputing the claim that Jose had run that time on twins....

I ran once at the track. I think I have a slipping clutch pretty bad because every time I shift my RPM's drop fast. My best was a 13.4@107. The track is known to run slow but I was pretty disappointed. It's alot different then racing my GSX. I have a new Intake, FMIC, and Exhaust coming in and I am going to order a new clutch here pretty soon. They say this track runs about 1 second slow but they could be lying to theirselves to make them feel faster. I took 2nd in my class but lost to a Talon AWD. I am going to try again this weekend or next. Hopefully it was just the track but we'll see.
