How Much Power with single and stock motor ?

whats up everybody! I have a question i hope some of u guys can help me out. Im getting my car back this week with the T-78 turbo and stock motor. Rotary Performance told me the car was putting out 405 or 410 rwhp at 16 or 17 psi on pump gas. I thought i should be getting more though? is it safe without hurting the motor? And whats the highest horsepower anyones ever dynoed on pump gas? Any replys are helpful from anyone!

I would say that that power is about right. I put down 442 at 16.5psi with a ported engine. It sounds like it is pretty conservative so you should be fine running pump gas.

HP?

You can go to 550 hp on the stock eng no more than that because the stock eng doesnt bring reforce housing

thanx for some feedback, but 550 hp on a stock engine? That sounds crazy. I've never heard anybody put out that much power. If you do i would like to know what kind of set up you are running. Also is 550 hp at the wheels or flywheel?

Thanx

Thats damn good power for a stock motor or ported for that matter. Every car is different.(different porting..etc..) And you arn't gonna see 500rwhp w/ a stock motor. If you want to keep your motor for awhile, then don't run over 16ish psi...

I would say in the low 400. A mild street port with a single usually hits about 440-460. The power ratings that myself and some of my friends hit with a stock motor were...410.3, 401, 415 and 403. You might get more but your motor won't last long.

A stock motor will last long as long as it's tuned properly, 17psi is fine for a stock motor and durability.
